There are some games that are a distinct play regardless of any combination of lineups the two teams can throw on the field. This is one of those games. For example, I knew I wanted to play the Rays last night as well. The Phils are a very strong play.

As for the haters, hey, it's comical at this point. I will be up over 100 units soon and this douchebag will find my one losing day out of 4 to call me out. It doesn't even phase me. It's actually really funny.

As opposed to going into a thread where KC was the pick and saying, "Oh boy, that is the wrong bet."  What do you call that, solid public relations? 

Is it really hard for someone to go into a thread of someone who is on the opposite side and say, "I like _____ because ______, but good luck." 

And then just leaving it at that? 

Good luck on your plays, lanny, but you're your own worst enemy sometimes.  Why not just do what you do without the crazy thread titles?  Is it really that hard?

ChrisCune -- Not chasing at all. First off, I had only been doing 4 unit plays for a week and a half prior to interleague so that wasn't a properly large sample of how often they will be coming. 4 unit plays actually increase in number as the season progresses because of the increase in stats. I can't really explain more without going into the nitty gritty of what I do, so let's just leave it at that. I understand your concern, but I also have a ton of my own money at stake with the decisions I make, so you can trust that I am making smart ones.

Spitfire -- Well, if I take them seriously, then I would lose my mind, so I have to take them in stride.

Hutch -- I don't know why you have a vendetta against me but I know you do because the few times we have crossed paths, you haven't exactly been gracious toward me. Look, I can't make everybody happy. People that want a bland capper can look elsewhere and get losing picks. At the end of the season, I will be above 100 units like I promised a the beginning and I'm pretty sure most of the guys here will have been just fine with the way I got there.

Racebannon -- Yeah, it was just one of those games. I cashed in on the first three Tampa wins so I can't be too upset. I'm not playing the Philly run line and I wouldn't recommend it, but I also wouldn't shun it completely.

Take your garbage somewhere else. There is no such thing as a lock, therefore you have nothing on me. Either this game was a no play or Tampa was the play. There is no such thing as a -INFINITY favorite that will win every time but if these two teams played this same exact game 100 times in a row, you would lose money betting on the Royals.

The only other times our paths crossed was when you had some over-inflated line for a game (I think it was in the high -200's when the line was really -170 or something).  I argued that lines just don't magically aren't $1.00 off and that high -200's and -300's are reserved for VERY few match-ups in baseball.  You said your line was correct.  We disagreed.  That was it.

And sorry, but if some puffer with 500 pots in two years is going to come in here and start complaining for people to play nice with you because you are the model citizen, then I don't mind pointing out the facts of the situation (that you don't mind going into someone else's thread and saying they made the wrong bet without any explanation at all). 

Nothing against you in the least.  And you won't find me in your threads other then to set the fact straight for those who might have difficulty with objectivity.

Hutch -- Get out of here. I don't need your backhanded compliments. My record speaks for itself and all of those wins are based on similar premises as the one you have already heard me talk about. Where are your picks? It's amazing how I do a service at a success rate that not even 1% of others could do and yet I am still wrong. Why don't I see you the 1,000 times I am right about games?
