    Well...you're certainly losing that battle.

As for the Red Sox being out of the playoffs...that won't happen if the Rays have anything to say about it. They don't want to win anymore.

Hi Sparky... Now that the red shoed Rangers finally wrapped up West Title who do you (Yankees) see the playoffs shaping up to? Who do you want to play? Who has the best chance of beating Phillies? How will your Yanks fare? Detroit? Texas?

Love to hear your take on how these AL playoffs unfold. I would love to see TX overtake DET for second seed BUT......with BOS unraveling ANA might still have outside chance of getting WC that might have us visiting the BRONX on Friday night I personally don't want that cuz NY has kicked our ass this year.

Look forward to your response and BANTER this upcoming playoffs. I promise to be much milder since we have beeen there before

Well, I guess if you tell yourself that enough times, you'll think it's the truth.

I got Phillies and Texas in the WS.  Im a Yankees fan but I dont think they have what it takes make the WS.

They only have better than average starting pitching, a shutdown bullpen, and can hit ANYONE.  Not to mention that they have TWO MVP candidates and have been overcoming every injury, distraction and obstacle this season.  This team has great chemistry and confidence and, with the exception of A-Rod, they are relatively healthy right now.  They are clicking on all cylinders going into the playoffs.

Jeter reaching 3k hits, Mo becoming the all-time saves leader and then the Yankees scooping their 28th championship would be a magical year wouldn't it?

Are you sure you're a Yankees fan?

Love to hear your take on how these AL playoffs unfold. I would love to see TX overtake DET for second seed BUT......with BOS unraveling ANA might still have outside chance of getting WC that might have us visiting the BRONX on Friday night I personally don't want that cuz NY has kicked our ass this year.

Look forward to your response and BANTER this upcoming playoffs. I promise to be much milder since we have beeen there before

I actually want to face your Rangers again. But don't look into the season matchup. The Yanks played very well against you guys last year and that didn't mean anything. But if you guys really are sending 3 lefties out there...the Yanks shouldn't have too many problems against the pitching. Montero will be the DH and 2 of the 3 lefties in the lineup (Cano and Granderson) can't be neutralized against lefties (Gardner can). I heard the stat yesterday about the Yankees against lefties this season and they have over 30 wins and just 16 losses against lefties.

The only problem, of course, is your offense (with Napoli and Murphy finally getting every day playing time), is stacked from top to bottom and the Yankees' rotation isn't exactly scary. However...Girardi said they can use a 3 man rotation with only Sabathia going on short rest. So It'll be Sabathia, Nova and Colon or Garcia.

As for the best chance of beating the Phillies...I still think the Yankees have the best chance. The Yanks have the best bullpen in the AL by a long shot and the 2nd best in baseball. That's really saying something. Everyone knew their bullpen would be a strength going into the season...but nobody expected Wade, Ayala, Robertson and Noesi to be the reason for it.

However...if the Angels make the playoffs...I think they have the best matchup against the Phillies.
    Weaver v Halladay
    Haren v Lee
    Santana v Hamels
    ??? v Oswalt
It would be an incredible matchup. I do, also, think the Rays have the pitching to compete as well...but I don't think they would be able to make it to the WS.

    I just can't fucking wait.

Yankees played small ball that inning and it paid off. Wakefield didn't help, though.

What's lost in all of this is AJ has pitched 2 very good games against the Sox in a row.
