I’m on the Brewers to defeat the Rays in the World Series

I believe they can win again, but I felt more strongly about them yesterday when they were coming off a humbling home loss. Now it's the mighty Brewers who are off a loss.

Is your conviction strong enough to warrant a play on the rays?

I’m not betting on them, but I’ll be rooting for them to keep my Brewers in 6 props alive. But if the Brewers win, my futures bets and Brewers -1.5 games props will be clinched, and that’s not bad at all.

Yes, the league has shown America that it is fundamentally unserious and doesn’t at all deserve the attention that Caitlin Clark has brought to it. Players scurrying off the floor to avoid standing for the national anthem is inexcusable. When the players and coaches are questioned as to why the national anthem is shunned prior to every game, they cowardly dance around the question or avoid answering it altogether. That’s because these dumb women have no answer. They’ve been told that they’re oppressed as black women in America at the same time they’re making a living as highly paid professional athletes.

Perhaps they simply don't consent to a technocratic government or the direction they believe this country is heading. Standing for the anthem is a personal choice, just as choosing not to stand is. You don't have to agree with their position to respect their right to express it.

America is supposed to be the land of the free, yet freedom increasingly feels like an illusion. And there's a certain irony in demanding that people demonstrate their patriotism by surrendering the very freedom they're supposedly celebrating.

You can disagree with the government and or the current administration, or past administrations which is your free choice. The flag stands for ideals and opportunity of which these women would never have had. When young men and women sign up to fight and die for these ideals you can at least show some respect and stand for the flag. It doesn't mean you agree with all things political. Utterly disgusting otherwise and to support that behavior is just as disgusting...... 

I just bet the Brewers +310 to win the series in six games. I asked for $2,000 at a locals casino but they couldn’t afford it. They re-offered $1,000. I walked away but then I reluctantly stuffed ten bills into a kiosk and took it.

So now it’s $13,410 to win $58,740.

I also got down 2,000 on the Rays -1.5 +320. I bet that only because of the crazy price. Elsewhere the Rays minus a run and a half is around -1.5 +270.

 Yessir, never trying to make this place political. I try to respect all opinions and think we all should have our opinions even if we are different, however disrespecting the flag and the young men and women risking it all makes me so disgusted.....

This isn't a political thread, but I just want to point out that it was a marine who advised Kaepernick to kneel during the national anthem. The freedoms that we all enjoy today are because of the men and women of the armed forces, freedoms that include kneeling or leaving the court during the anthem.
