You can disagree with the government and or the current administration, or past administrations which is your free choice. The flag stands for ideals and opportunity of which these women would never have had. When young men and women sign up to fight and die for these ideals you can at least show some respect and stand for the flag. It doesn't mean you agree with all things political. Utterly disgusting otherwise and to support that behavior is just as disgusting......

I respectfully disagree. The flag represents freedom, and at the heart of that freedom is individual sovereignty—the right to think, believe, and express ourselves without being compelled to conform.
Respect for those who fought and sacrificed for our freedoms shouldn't require surrendering those very freedoms.
A flag is a symbol of liberty, not an authority over it. Standing is a personal choice, just as choosing not to stand is. You don't have to agree with someone's expression to respect their right to it.
True freedom means defending that right, especially when we disagree.
When I was very young, a wise man shared something with me that I have never forgotten:
“Respect the flag, but never let it rule over you.”
That man was my grandfather, a highly decorated serviceman who understood the true meaning of freedom.

The Brewers made me a lot of cash this season. And it ended last night with me cashing my 35-1 ticket.
