Buster Posey thinks the Giants can get through the year without having any leverage arms in the bullpen whatsoever. Its so fucking unbelievably retarded its beyond words. Logan Webb pitches a gem and this deranged dipshit who has no business pitching the 9th inning of a wiffleball game gives it up again. Absolute wasted performance from Logan Webb.
Get a closer Buster Jesus Christ.

Butera is terrible. He is constantly going to Parker who is absolutely horrible. Lizard king is pitching well, gets two outs in 6th and Butera hooks him to bring in Parker, who immediately gives up the tying run and almost the lead.
I was on Nats, but I can’t play them anymore because of his idiotic moves to the pen. When your bullpen is garbage you stick with the starter as long as possible. Miklas was pitching fine.

What about Butera?

Im a Giants fan and what I am seeing makes no sense. We have no bullpen and Buster doesn't seem to understand we have literally zero guys who can close games. Im getting extremely frustrated.

I'm hardly a Giants fanatic but they are my hometown team. I always respected Buster Posey as a player and man. Your general statements are vague and trite. He is more than capable. I was happy he got the chance. Certainly deserves it if he was interested in the position.
Where were you when Doval was throwing? Oh yea the list of closers who have a good season or two are endless. And it was for a sub .500 campaign. See in point Devin Williams after Pete Alonso beat him a couple seasons ago to win it in the NLDS. Examples are countless. Ryan Walker was supposed to be an option after Doval imploded. Then Rogers, Miller, other committee attempts. Doval was the man. Then Walker looked good after Doval collapsed. Now Walker fails.
Consistent reliable closers in any era are hard to come by. Some even lose it and reclaim it. And nowadays 40-50 save closers are virtually nonexistent. Look back a decade when they won their World Series. They had one of the best bullpens in the game and a manager who had the knack and right plan to use them. You act like Buster is supposed to pick another Billy Wagner with ease.
The last three outs are the hardest to get. Or try for a committee. Bullpen arms are in there because they don't have the quality and endurance to be a starter. It's like why defensive secondary players in football are on defense instead of receiver positions lol.
Front offices have instilled paralysis via over analysis. I believe in old school while implementing some modern things but not to an extreme. I would rather lose with my starter late and not pull him due to pitch counts, etc than yank him for a reliever. Especially in certain situations. Yesterday was a prime example. Let Webb go and if you lose you lose.
Unless you have a Rivera, Hoffman, Chapman, Mason Miller proven type of guy then yea I'd go eight and toss it to the guy who has proven he is worth the money to get the final three outs. But the mathematical nerds and Bill James' stat geek handbook ruined old school, gut, instinct decision making. I'd look at stats but I'd go by feel too and I can live with the results go or bad. Either way fans and whoever else will second guess if it goes wrong. That's human nature. I'd be fine being wrong going with my intuition over a blackjack guide like chart telling me when I should hit, fold, or split. It's hardly a given.
