My capping shows Baahhstin with a modest +1.0 run edge over the A's, who - despite a depleted lineup - whacked the BoSox 7 - 3 last night facing a much better starter then than they do today!   In fact, given that GINN is better than the BoSox starting combo, I am LEANING to the A's at +2.0 possibly ....undecided....but definitely NOT backing the Sox here......or may just pass and avoid the stress.

Washing -107 @pinn                       ...only small edge of +0.6 runs but still within my "take it" range

Washington TT over 2.5 or 3.0 if offered looks to me like a solid alternative though I won't play it as it increases my exposure too much on a correlated bet. I am expecting at least 3 from Washington but more probably in the 4 - 6 range......HOT day/ball carries more!  Hitter's Park to begin with!!  NATS are the highest scoring team in MLB!!! Two sub-par bullpens!!! Starters who appear to be weaker than average!

 Damndest thing though .....almost every friggn' time I list all the sound NET POSITIVES for a play, well, it frequently ends up like a bellyflop off the 3 meter board INTO A SHALLOW POOL

Undecided yet if I will play this but with an estimated 4.0 runs each, this definitely should have "value" grabbing the PLUS $$$ ....assuming I have it capped accurately

Looking like good value on KC getting points.....they still like lose the game but getting +2 or even +1.5 looks enticing given that CUBS pen is thin and DOBNAK is quite decent for Royals.....

         This STARTER is riding an improbable  8-game  HOT STREAK, 

                       WITHOUT a BAD outing in that streak .....YET! 

           ...but this should be anticipated to end at anytime!!!             

Make no mistake, this dude and others I will identify in the future are GOOD starters - some of them exceptional! HOWEVER, probability says "consecutive streaks won't last long" especially AFTER 7 straight w/o a "bad outing"....All GOOD pitchers will, from time to time, have an "off" day and get roughed up - sometimes mauled - before they resume their stellar pitching performances again.    Best to avoid!

CAVEAT: even if the starter has a "bad outing" doesn't guarantee his team will lose! It just seriously weakens their chances! But his team's bats could come thru with a lot of runs to save the day.....well, maybe.   You decide.
