Cardinals/Phillies Over 8 -110
Both line ups are finding success right now so that helps, but this is a total fade of the Cardinals bullpen tonight. They just played 5 games in 4 days vs the Reds, and a marathon of a game last night, that showed just how capable they are of blowing things to shit very quickly. And those were the best four guys we have down there. Strzelecki pitched great, but everyone else was a disaster. It will only get worse tonight. And while I think the Cards line up can contribute to the number tonight, they may not need to.
Boston Red Sox -1.5 +126
Total fade of the Giants offense. Webb has been great for them, yet they are 9-13 in his starts. Sonny Gray has been tremendous for the Sox since his hiccup to end July, only surrendering two runs over his last 19 IP. Sox bats still look to be very much alive, and they have a great back end of the bullpen, so I'm not sure the Giants can create enough runs to stay within two.
Tigers/Royals Under 8.5 -120
The Tigers offense is really struggling to find their way right now, and things are starting to slip away from them. Their stopper is on the mound, and the Royals are throwing a lefty that is coming off a complete game shutout, so he should be riding high and feeling pretty good. The Royals bats have come alive but doing it against the Angels and As hasn't sold me on them. Cags is shaping into a nice player though.
Texas Rangers -1.5 +158
I can't believe I'm betting on the Rangers offense, but I think they can scrape a few together tonight. Detmers has been great, but the Rangers prefer to see LHP, plus his line up went off last night for 18 runs, so it wouldn't shock me for a dud tonight. Not to mention, they've not scored when starts anyway. They've scored 7 total runs in his last 6 starts. Rangers are still playing for something too.
San Diego Padres -116
I hope the question to enter the pearly gates isn't "how did the 2026 Twins win so many games?", cause I'll be baffled and won't know the answer. Coming off a sweep of the NL East leading Braves, the Twinks have been doing it with pitching, but not tonight. Prelipp got banged up by the Phils his last time out, and overall hasn't been very good. He can't give them any length, so the pen will be involved, and that's likely when things fall off the rails for them. Padres bats were quieted a bit in Queens, but I think they can muster a few tonight.
Pittsburgh Pirates +205
Throwin a dart here, but I think the value is there. Chandler has really good stuff. Like capable of shutting anyone down stuff. He may not have it tonight, but his line up got O'Neil Cruz back and that seems to have reenergized them. At over 2:1 on my money, it's certainly worth a shot.
Seattle Mariners -1.5 +180
Call me a lunatic. It's probably deserving. But this number is so off for me that I'm not taking the bait this time. On no planet should the Cubs be even money in this spot. The Ms offense hasn't shown any ability to sustain anything. Boyd did get shelled his last time out vs STL, but this number is just so damn fishy to me, that I feel a Ms blowout coming, and I'll be pissed that I wasn't on it. Cubs had to make the long flight yesterday, may not be fully acclimated from that yet. I'm not sure, but I just have a feeling.
