Can't believe I'm showing back up in this place after Wednesdays debacle, but that's gambling I suppose.
Atlanta Braves -1.5 +114
Holmes has been very good in his last three starts, and Paddack hasn't been good at all this year. So bad actually, that he's already on his second team this year after being DFA'd by Miami a couple weeks ago. The Reds have lost both of his starts for them. We know how I feel about this Braves team, who scored 17 runs in the Boston series, and that's with getting shutout once. They can explode at anytime, from any spot in the order.
Tampa Bay Rays -1.5 +130
The Rays are skidding currently, but nothing like the Angles coming to town to get your groove back. The Halos are just 10-19 on the road this year, going up against the best home team in the league, the 19-5 Rays. The bats have seemed to go quiet for the Rays, but being back at home should cure what ails them. Urena has been very tough, but walks a lot of guys, and this line up is super patient and will make him pay for those free passes.
Chicago Cubs -1.5 +126
The Cards line up just stinks after the 4 spot, and it's getting exposed. They will need to call up Blaze Jordan or Jimmy Crooks here soon, lock out be damned. They've dropped 4 straight, and scored a total of 8 runs in that stretch, 6 coming in one game. The Cubs ending their 10 game losing streak and beat the Buccos twice, and now come to STL with a little offensive confidence, and their lefty Imanaga should continue to keep the Cards bats down. We just don't hit lefties well. Palante is mehhhh when facing line ups that have some thump, and the Cubs have that, just need to bust it out.
Texas Rangers -1.5 +168
They Royals stink offensively, especially against lefties, and once you get past their starter, their bullpen is the worst in the league. Gore has been excellent as of late, and while the Rangers offense has struggled in spots this year, Kolek just threw a CG/SO his last time out, and I'm banking on that he can't do that twice in a row. Once he's out of this game, the Rangers bats should tee off.
Arizona Diamondbacks +122
The Snakes may be the hottest team in the league right now, winners in 9 of their last 10. Gallen hasn't been as great as he can be, but he's getting there. The Dbacks have won his last two starts, and this Ms line up was just the beneficiaries of playing in the Sacramento park that makes everyone good. Kirby has been good, but I think the Snakes offense is much better than the Ms, and will be able to be the more productive side tonight.
