Wants a 6yr 200 mils. Braves should let him go. I would like for him to stay as a Braves but that is too much. 

$33 Million a year average? He just turned 32 years old...Its right along the lines of Harper/Machado/Betts/Rendon...You gotta pay the man..What would be ridiculous is a 8-10 year contract with more money...6 years is right for him..

So ATL should just let their talisman walk with literally no obligations to their payroll with the ridiculously low contracts Acuna & Albies settled for. You can feel all high and mighty you stuck to your guns. But remember this. Even after a WS, ATL is still not a FA destination. Let Freeman go and you will be replacing him with Carlos Santana.

A ridiculously high price for Freeman; but honestly ... I feel that's more than fair considering the market. If you let him walk, who you replacing him with?

The best 1b bat in the league. Who also happens to be a top 3 defensive 1b in the league. Who also happens to be a true positive leader. Who also happens to be the cornerstone of the franchise that just won the WS and is loved by all fans. Pay him. Anything. 

If you let him go, what message are you sending to your players and to your fans? Atlanta is different... that´s what they´ve always said. That´s why the Braves have Chipper Jones, Smoltz, and Glavine stories. As long as they keep up their level, they are deservedly paid.

Bye bye Freeman. Welcome Matt Olsen to the Braves!!!

I'm a Braves fan, and I love Freeman for everything he's done.  But I hate this deal.  Sure, he's worth a ton as a locker-room presence alone, but looking out 5-10 years, the Braves could do a lot with that $33 mil/yr.  If they sign him, they better be prepared to spend everything that it'll take to win now.

Freeman will be joining the Jays...you heard it here 1st
