If only the logical decisions translated to more money in the account but that’s not how gambling works sometimes… anywho… first post in many years on here, dodgers got swept by the Braves and need to get a dub to get back on track to get home field for the playoffs.
Too close for comfort last night, but a nice win nonetheless. They asked if I wanted to take the money or double it and pass it on… so I’m passing yesterday’s winnings right back onto the Dodgers.
Taking Dodgers -1 at -148 today. Nice little drop in juice, and I’m willing to take the push if they win by 1.
It’s a nice lineup for the Dodgers today, they’re getting closer to full health, and Snell has looked great since coming back. I think their bats get a little hotter today and this team starts looking more like the Dodgers we expected.
I also can’t wait for Will Smith to get back and have this lineup finally get closer to full strength. He homered in his rehab assignment this week which is a good sign.
I think this is a good time to grab some Dodgers value. Once this team gets fully healthy and starts playing like themselves again, I expect the lines to get a lot tougher to stomach. We saw it last year — they were routinely laying some serious juice even against good teams. So I’m happy to take advantage while the market is still giving us a little better number.
Second bet: If you want to play Dodgers ML and get a little less juice, I’m pairing it with Carlos Alcaraz ML for -116.
I know… I know… parlays are bet killers. I’ve lost plenty that way myself. But I’m not adding 4–5 legs just to make a lottery ticket. I like Alcaraz in this spot for his first match of the US Open, even with the risk of his first appearance since April.
