When you grow up you learn teams are something you bet on to win money.  Making them something special makes you a child.  Very sad.

Quite honestly, I just think Webb is the better pitcher. I know he was better on the road. But come on, everyone knows playoff baseball is different. From what I've seen of Big Z this year, in every bigtime big game situation, he's FAILED. Go ask DAD how he's worked out for him during the regular season. I personally think we will be seeing AZ back in the series this year.
There are a hundred reasons why the Cubs SHOULD win this game and series, BUT, it's just not going to happen.

A poster starts a threat saying that the players on a team had never hit a home run off this pitcher.  Reader thinks WOW.  The players on the team had had a total of 4 at bats against him and this is a post to be proud of?

These are some stats I found earlier.
here are final scores and Webb's decisions in his 10 losses...
 
Col 6-3 (L)

Cin 5-4 (ND)
SD 4-0 (L)

His (team and personal) losses came to playoff or near playoff teams in most games.
Webb has 5 Wins against teams with winning records (I refuse to count LAD as a "winning record" team since they are 82-80 and sucked it up against real competition all year). Webb's team won 8 games he started against winning record teams, and he got the win in 5 of those 8. And as I posted earlier, most of his losses were to playoff or near playoff teams.
 
13 wins against teams with losing records. ERA is worst against teams that can hit. For example:
 
vs. STL 5.25
vs. NYY 3.86
vs. CIN 5.14
vs. NYM 3.21
vs. COL 5.77
 
Compare to other teams:
vs. HOU 1.69
vs.Was 0.56
vs.LAD 0.92
vs. FLA 0.00
 
2.57 ERA against Cubs,

7 IP, L, 5 H, 3 R (2 ER), 1 BB, 4 SO. He owns them? How does one start constitute owning them?

cuz the cubs are the better team, you see box, you need to score runs in order to win in the bigs....babybacks offense is just pathetic, you should be lucky you have webb cuz that's all you got.
i got big z on the hill, along with soriano, jones, lee, ramirez, etc.
that is why cubs will win dumbass cubbiehater.

If Cubs can just score 3.........Huge deficit that AZ can no way overcome. They have no hitters plain and simple and we'll see that tonight as they score their 1-2.

I respect that info, but, this is more of a "feel game" for me. I cannot go agaist my gut. Everywhere I look around this forum, I see Cubs, cubs, cubs. I don't have the time to dig up the dirt on Big Z, I know that I wouldn't have too look far. A play is a play. One of us will win, and I'm quite sure that it will be me.

Cubbies are unpredictable, AZ can't score.........Baseball extrememly unpredictable, which makes for a coin flip.    Good Luck all, even to you wussieman who seems to think getting lucky has something to do with being smart.

Hey, all I can say is that you heard me out for what I found. I almost put arizona ML in my 3 team parlay, but couldn't find myself to do it and replaced it in the bet. Just had a feeling, so I can completely relate.

BTW didn't replace it with Cubs ML, but rather ari-cubs over 7 1/2.. we'll see how that goes
 
Still up 9.65 units in MLB since monday though so this is just an enjoyable game to watch with two units on the line..
 
the last of that parlay (Col ML and Bos ML hit earlier), and then cubs -1.5 +200.
