As I look acfross the board, I see everyone and there momma on the cubbies, and I ask myself why.  Everyone says AZ has no bats.  and the Cubbies do Didn't AZ win the season series? Didn't they finish with the best record in the NL. Isn't B. Webb at home tonight? Since when is Big Z a big game pitcher? You guys kill me. I'll take B. Webb at this price anytime I see it.

I live on the east coast, so I know that I won't be watching this game. But I will be counting my money in my sleep. GL to all you cub backers, cause you'll damn sure need it.

The Cubs hitters have a better batting average at every spot in the lineup 1 through 9.  Who's hitting for the Cubs?  Who isn't?  Soriano, Lee, Ramirez.  DeRosa's hitting.  Floyd can mash.  Even Jones has had a great 2nd half.  And then you've got the catcher Soto hitting 8th and has been killing the ball.  Cubs got bats up and down the lineup.  Webb better bring his A game.  Zambrano is 4-1, 1.67 in his Last 5.

12-4 with a 3.06 ERA...Not a waste of money, IMO

Off hand I'd say 12 - 4, but he's still Zambrano. I bet he gives up at least four runs through 5inns. I'd take Webb at home anyday. Remeber the no runs streak he went on a few weeks back.

That was a few weeks back for Webb.  The no runs streak belongs to Zambrano and it stands at 13 innings.  The Dbacks expected lineup is 0-10 vs. Zambrano have not seen him this year.  Unless Z is terribly wild they have very little chance.

Donnie Lay gl tonight with Ari. still undecieded with that one I lean cubs....got Bos/Ana under 9 and Rice Owls plus 21 both 55/50.....fn phils

Don't know yet, but here's the logic:
 
Arizona can't hit, everyone knows that.
Yeah Webb is great pitcher, but with little run support
Cubs can score runs with great hitters
Zambrano just as good as Webb
 
Cubs extremely inconsistant with their hitting 
Webb has owned Cubs
Weak bullpen
 
I'm leaning towards Cubs

What's the big deal with Webb at home?  He was better on the road.  8-5 at home; meanwhile, Zambrano was 12-4 on the road.

Always fair.  Always Objective.  Carlos gets a shutout at home against a pitt team that had lost 8 in a row before that game and its a miracle.  He gets another shutout at the Reds when the team had lost almost all their players and had dropped 5 in a row and he is a GOD.  Cubs in Sept played 29 games.  25 were under 500 opponents.  They played 4 at home against the Dodgers the only team over 500 and went 1-3.  This is a team of Destiny.  The Destiny though is to lose tonight.
