It's all about the look. It's route 28. I have a picture of a #28 Yankees Jersey but I like this one better.

GL Sparky, looking forward to a great season!
I'm not a Yankee fan, but I can respect them. I'm a die hard Stros fan and having grown up in TX, I've cheered on many of our players playing in pinstripes.
If you ever need an angle on the Stros, let me know. Unfortunately this may be a good year to fade them
You need Oswalt to stay healthy. Wandy to be Wandy. And I'm interested to see how Bud Norris works out. And Berkman is in his contract year so he should put up big numbers. I don't see them being true contenders simply because the Cards are just too stacked, but I'll see them being over .500.

I hope so because 40 homers in that ballpark is nice along with whatever he gets on the road.
I know Long is working with him on improving his numbers against lefties so I'm really hoping for him to not be as dreadful. I think he'll be fine though. The plan is to bat him 2nd v righties and 5-6th against lefties switching with Nick Johnson. It's good to see they already have a plan for him.

Well we have a patient team. Even Cano has been taking more and more pitches since his rookie season. A little time with Jeter, Tex and Johnson will do him good. My main concern is Gardner. His speed is insane but he needs to get on base. I hear multiple teams are asking about him and if he doesn't get the job done this year...he's all but gone.
I wonder how Tex and A-Rod will feel when Granderson bats 2nd and brings home Jeter with a homer in front of them.

I hear you on Bud Norris, I think he will be a breath of fresh air. Wandy needs to pitch better on the road and a couple of young pups need to establish themselves, mainly at C and SS. Their win total is set at 73, I think they can beat that number, .500 would be a success but a stretch. They have a young SP, named Paulino. This guy has all the tools but needs better command. I'm not sure if he is worthy of a mention in my earlier post on this year's Greinke, but if he makes the starting rotation as #5, he could be due for a breakout season and will surprise some people.

Well he looks like he'll get his chance unless he has a dreadful Spring. Right now the rotation, if I'm not mistaken, consists of Oswalt, Wandy, Myers, Norris and an open spot which would be Paulino or Moehler. I'm guess the worst case scenario for Paulino is that Moehler would start the season while he gets more time to adjust in the minors. But that over in the 73 wins looks kinda good.

Sparky,
Im new to sports betting, i hopped in at the middle of the basketball season and figured that i shood get a leg up on the bseball season if i want to profit. As i said I'm new to betting so I have been scowering the forums in search of direction. Your honesty caught my attention and quite frankly i would appreciate it if i cood pick your brain. I DONT KNOW HOW TO CAP A GAME....sad i know. I know some of the key factors to look for such as weather, pitcher batter matchups etc. but i dont know how to plug all the info in. If its not too much to ask cood u do a sample capping any game old or new i jus need an idea of how its done.

Alright...lets' take Opening Night on April 4th.
Yankees v Red Sox. The pitching matchup will be Sabathia v Beckett (I suppose it's Beckett). I expect the line to be really low. Around -110/-115. I personally can't tell you who the favorite will be. However...if the Yankees were sending Sergio Mitre to the mound against Beckett...the line would be more like -140+. Basically that is an example of just how important the starting pitcher is for that game. I simply use the baseball matchup page on this site to get a lot of my info. It's really helpful as it breaks down a lot of things. Bullpens are another important thing. Basically if you hang around the forum enough...by the end of the 2nd week you'll see many people complaining about a certain bullpen that you'll learn to proceed with caution when it comes to betting on that team. I like to think all bullpens are even going into the season because new guys come up each year and rarely a team has the best bullpen each year. Offense usually doesn't change much. It's one of those things where it's usually so consistant that people make their bets before lineups are posted.
Sorry if I really dumbed it down. I was confused a bit on what you asked and just started rolling with it.
As for the weather. Yes...it is important. Mainly at Wrigley Field for the Cubs. Lines may not come out until the next day on totals. Whether it's blowing in or out, it's something you need to take into consideration. Now when the weather is really humid...the ball will travel a lot farther. Which is the reason why the Rangers' totals are usually so high. And when the weather is colder...the ball won't travel as far. Rain is also a factor in possibly taking a run off the board.
What I also look into is bounce back for STAR pitchers. For example...if Tim Lincecum gives up 6 runs in his previous game, expect a stellar performance in his next outing. Other pitchers that go into that catagory are Roy Halladay, Felix Hernandez, Cliff Lee, CC Sabathia, Josh Beckett, Chris Carpenter, Adam Wainwright, Josh Johnson, Zack Greinke, Jon Lester, John Lackey and Justin Verlander...just to name a few.
Well...I hope that helps. If you have anymore questions or if I missed something let me know. I'll be happy to answer any question you may have.
