Make no mistake, this dude and others I will identify in the future are GOOD starters - some of them exceptional! CAVEAT: even if the starter has a "bad outing" doesn't mean his team loses! It just seriously weakens their chances! But his team's bats could come thru with a lot of runs to save the day..... maybe

Although his team gave him a LOT of run support to snatch a win, it was NOT due to CROCHET.  He yielded 5 earned runs, to end his hot streak at 7 consecutive without a BAD outing, until tonight's weak performance.

I have the YANKEES with a solid ONE RUN edge over the BoSox tonight,

however it is not enough of an edge to justify laying heavy...

...nor enough value to take BoSox.

Could see Rodon getting noticeably tired in the 5th but they made a risky call leaving him in for the 6th and BOOM an_cannon

He had only yielded 8 earned runs over the previous 9 games!!

 

Tonight, Rodon's "bad outing" is on the manager imo...
