Well, there's just no way any capper can know going in that their pick is going to lose in extras. It had as good a shot as any. Sorry it didn't work out for you this time but it's all part of the "law of averages" game we play..... ie, there will be lots more sunny days than rainy days, but we acknowledge that there still will be rainy days...

and normally would like Yankees with GIL on the mound.....normally....
But he's riding a tenuous 8 consecutive game streak without a BAD outing, 
and I lay off those games as I just don't need the stress that his bubble may burst.

TIGGERS first half does look to have strong merit!
Astros hold a modest edge at the plate but that SP matchup is a difference make *IF* SKUBAL has his usual awesome performance.
And he may, since he got a "BAD outing" out of the way a few games ago and is not riding a long HOT STREAK that would give me pause to back off. He had an 8 game streak, then a BAD outing, and now rebounded with 3 solid performances - as per usual.
At least while he is in the game and pitching well I expect TIGGERS win the first half....after he leaves though.....unsure....
