Make no mistake, this dude and others I will identify in the future are GOOD starters - some of them exceptional! HOWEVER, probability says "consecutive streaks won't last long" especially AFTER 7 straight w/o a "bad outing"an_getaway....All GOOD pitchers will, from time to time, have an "off" day and get roughed up - sometimes mauled - before they resume their stellar pitching performances again.   an_shake Best to avoid!

 

an_lightCAVEAT: even if the starter has a "bad outing" doesn't guarantee his team will lose! It just seriously weakens their chances! an_nailbiterBut his team's bats could come thru with a lot of runs to save the day.....well, maybe.   You decide.

LAD 8 - 2.

In my capping stats, Schlittler will be charged with having a bad outing....7 on and 3 ER in just 4.1 ip are weak numbers for sure... 3 ER in 5 full would be a "mediocre" (not a bad outing) but in only 4.1 - with a corresponding poor WHIP - that's bad....
