So after 67 - 30 run the previous 15 days,

this REGRESSION week so far, entering today, is 3 - 11 

0 - 3,   2 - 6,   1 - 2

...and today is trending toward a 1 - 2 start as well...

So.....as a -270 home fav, that means SALE and the BRAVES are a lock to beat up Toronto tonight, absolutely for sure......right?! 

UPDATE on Skenes:

   When SKENES starts Pirates are just   6 - 7

When Arrighetti starts for Houston, they are 8 - 1,  and 4 - 0 at home.

So........ the 2nd WORST offense in MLB (Giants) enter today as a huge underdog to the Brewers.....but lead 12 - 3 in the 7th off of 19 hits - with two more at bats yet to go....

Kinda defines how this week is going around the league...

 Guess what?!?!? 

After LOSING as home favs last night (their 8th consecutive HOME loss!) to the mediocre A's, and LOSING as home favs the night before to the mediocre A's, tonight the slumping Cubs are home favs yet again! 

But this time they have trusty starter Imanaga on the mound. 

 Over his last 3 starts, all bad Cub losses, Imanaga alone has yielded a WHOPPING 8 homers and 20 earned runs! 

  Good luck with that . . .

Leaning to the A's, since CUBS and Imanaga are NOT a good bet as a home fav...

There must be teams that are permanently over juiced as favourites and you could make money over the season by fading them every game. Yankees and dodgers spring to mind. Feels like cubs are in that club too. 

So  HOUSTON puts up a fairly decent starter tonight opposing some new dude with a 10.38 ERA

... but the odds suggest this is a coin-flipper

Excellent point. Yankees, Dodgers for sure and Cubbies were but their losing streak is bringing their lines back down to reality.  Possibly same for both Braves and Rays.

Although I would offer that once any team gets on a blazing hot run, they too will see odds on their games elevated higher than we would normally anticipate and perhaps for the short term, fading those could well be profitable.

While the BRAVES could possibly come from behind 1 - 3 to win at the end it won't be any thanks to SALE.

He entered the game with an excellent 2.01 ERA and awesome 0.94 WHIP stat.

But tonight was a "BAD outing" allowing a whopping 13 Jays on base over just 5.2 ip

So, the way overpriced BRAVES at -270 - just because of SALE's stats - LOSE 2 -7

Braves only got 4 hits........... Jays (facing SALE initially) got 16 hits

No thanks to Imanaga's 4th consecutive failure, but the Cardiac Cubs rally for 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th to snatch a VERY LUCKY victory from the jaws of doom....

CUBS losing streak at home ends at 8 straight....

 I have NOT yet handicapped the new series beginning Friday,

but just off the cuff,

it appears to me already, that the initial overnight lines on: Cubs, Phillies, Mariners, Brewers, Dodgers, A's, and Cleveland might well be at least somewhat overpriced.  

IF true, from my experience we can probably expect the fav lines on those teams to drop some in the morning when Americans are enjoying their first cuppa.  You might want to wait not just until the morning but thru the full morning to see how those fav lines settle.  BUT if you are on the dogs, a lot of those lines look to be a bit overpriced and now might be the time to grab dogs *IF* and only if YOU have fully capped the games (not just guesses) and have favorable views on one or several dogs...

I'll be injecting a slight tweak to my capping (series' worksheet)  Not sure if it will help or hurt until after I see the results for a full week.
