Milwaukee starter Dustin May already shut out this Mets lineup over six innings earlier this season. The Brewers own MLB’s best record and should have the offensive edge against 36-year-old Chris Stock, who has spent most of his career in the minors with limited recent MLB experience. I’m backing MIL here.
Dustin May had to leave the game after throwing one pitch because that pitch was smashed back at him by A.J. Ewing. It him in the back and he was unable to continue.
An unlucky break for the Brewers turned out to be the luckiest thing that happened to them all day. Robert Gasser came in and easily retired the Mets in the 1st, and then the Brewers hitters, suddenly playing with a sense of urgency, began the top of the 2nd inning with SIX straight singles.
Game over.
