use the skf as your best barometer of the overall market
chart
on election day i saw the SKF was at 115 or so and figured something would happen or there would be a momentum shift to push that back to the 160-170 level
it did...just as it gets close to 190 or so in the next few days it will be the bottom of any near term trading range...of course without the influence of any outside events

Shouldn't the Circuit City BK be good for Best Buy? Eventually eliminates their main competitor. A lot of people go to either BB or CC, now (or after CC goes bye bye) they will just go to BB. Am I wrong on this?

CC has been close to a non factor for years now
But the CC issue doesn't matter if no one is buying anything. That was the issue today, although it really shouldn't have been a surprise. All you had to do was go out to a mall in the last two months and you would have seen that things were WAY off. Wall to wall doom and gloom will have that effect on the sheeple

good point because it really does come down to the financials. IF there is no money moving in the economy, then everything comes to a halt just like in the early 30's.
that being said, I think just about ALL the bad news is out in the gaming stocks. they can 4 sure still go lower BUT I think we a close to a bottom in that industry group.. I bot another 1k of LVS today @ 4.96

d2 - i would stay away from steel names...a TON of hedge fund ownership. its a very crowded trade
nat gas will be nice soon enough,...CHK/SD are good names
beyond that, i dont like anything outside of the healthcare world and i wouldnt recommend anyone buy anything unless you are dollar cost averaging for the next 20 years

The nice thing about a stock like DRYS getting beat down to the 8-9 range is that 10% drops don't hurt as much anymore because its only about $.90. Better than the days when that meant $5-$8.
