Had a good time at the track tonight.

Beautiful cool evening here 68 degrees

and a lt breeze a breath of fresh air from the heat last week. 

Yes I did lose my 45.00 whole dollars had beer food with the wife and enjoyed what left of this Saturday. 

Seems that a return to normal has begun an elder gent was waiting for his ride. His daughter came with her daughter to pick the old boy up. 

He heads for the car and the daughter recognizes he without his cane. In she whips as I smoke a cigarette in the designated out door area. 

He turns to me and the misses. And states " I end up chasing that damn thing more than I use it and with a slight chuckle he heads for the front passenger seat as his daughter whips into the off track parlor and fetches the crutch....

Way to sureal  even in pat  Dempsey's town... 

Love night racing at the track. 

We won't have any in South Florida when they stop racing at Pompano Park later this year. The state has really screwed over harness racing all so the Isle Casino can add a hotel & shopping. A couple thousand jobs will be lost. It's the same with Hollywood Dog Track.

Racing clientele have skipped a generation & the young ones only show up to be seen at the big racing events so they can post pics on social media.

When managed well night racing can be very enjoyable. Ocean Downs or Delmarva Downs as I still call it is a very laid back easy going atmosphere that if your in the area is worth a trip to.
