Train said it best, there is just zero work ethic in this country right now and very few leaders. Everyone wants to pass the buck and point fingers. Just look at our last few Presidential Elections, both sides have sucked and didn't give us great options to vote for. I think parenting has been really atrocious too, just look at what parents are doing now. They are having their 16 year old kid sail around the world trying to cheat death every day for the next 8 months, you have Kate Gosselin parading her kids around and ruining their childhood. I work for CVS Pharmacy and it's amazing how ignorant parents are, they let their kids go running around the store taking things off the shelf and throwing them around and somehow the parents think this is okay. We need to bring back physical discipline, kids just don't respond to verbal discipline anymore.

As with any other time and place, every workplace has its share of lazy asses If management does their job correctly, they'll  step in and rid themselves of those types. People will work hard for you if you keep them challenged and motivated....regardless of their age.
