Train said it best, there is just zero work ethic in this country right now and very few leaders. Everyone wants to pass the buck and point fingers. Just look at our last few Presidential Elections, both sides have sucked and didn't give us great options to vote for. I think parenting has been really atrocious too, just look at what parents are doing now. They are having their 16 year old kid sail around the world trying to cheat death every day for the next 8 months, you have Kate Gosselin parading her kids around and ruining their childhood. I work for CVS Pharmacy and it's amazing how ignorant parents are, they let their kids go running around the store taking things off the shelf and throwing them around and somehow the parents think this is okay. We need to bring back physical discipline, kids just don't respond to verbal discipline anymore.

I dont know what people want these days. I'm guessing a house from  mtv cribs and no job or bills....that sound about right?

Just curious as to what you all thought.

Why does everyone say that about work ethic, moral, et.al.? As with any other time and place, every workplace has its share of lazy asses If management does their job correctly, they'll  step in and rid themselves of those types. People will work hard for you if you keep them challenged and motivated....regardless of their age.

I dont know what people want these days. I'm guessing a house from  mtv cribs and no job or bills....that sound about right?

Just curious as to what you all thought.

Rachel Uchitel is a poor example. When a woman is sleeping with a guy for 2+ years, extortion is hardly the intent. Give Tiger some credit also. He's smart enough to sniff that out.

My American Dream is to own a home, have children, work hard, raise my kids, be part of a successful business, and be happy on a day to day basis. Having some side money for vacations and gambling and video games is ice cream on top.

True, but people used to believe hard work would get them somewhere. Now people dont think they have a chance to succeed and look for any excuse to be lazy....

There's a good reason for that phenomena - people like the guy who started this thread piss and moan about everyone else, or they're told they can't, or the economy, or whatever failure excuse is out there.  That attitude has been that way for ages - not just lately. By the way, what good is complaining about it going to get you? If you don't like it, start your own gig. I did.
