The new American dream is to get onto a reality show and make millions off of people who are stupid enough to watch you live your daily life.
Also for some women (I.E. Rachel Uchitel), they just find married celebs and sleep with them so they can extort them and live off of that money.

Just look at our last few Presidential Elections, both sides have sucked and didn't give us great options to vote for. I think parenting has been really atrocious too, just look at what parents are doing now. They are having their 16 year old kid sail around the world trying to cheat death every day for the next 8 months, you have Kate Gosselin parading her kids around and ruining their childhood. I work for CVS Pharmacy and it's amazing how ignorant parents are, they let their kids go running around the store taking things off the shelf and throwing them around and somehow the parents think this is okay. We need to bring back physical discipline, kids just don't respond to verbal discipline anymore.

Its all about the quick buck now. Noone wants to start at the bottom of any ladder anywhere.
More importantly though, aside from smoking weed everyday, which just makes life overall better, getting to 100,000 post on covers would fulfill my american dream.
