Due to Iraq's obvious inability to govern/defend itself then in hindsight the U.S. should've never left. The math on that looks like this:
They never should've invaded, then they never should've left...

Call it Imperialistic if you wish but why lose 4,000 guys and a $trillion to hand it to a bunch of blood thirsty killers.

Question for Detox - how many innocents does the U.S. target and how many does ISIS target? I suppose intentions mean nothing to your constant weak argument. Let's make it even more simpler for you (anything I can do to help).

If you were walking the streets of Falluja, who would you rather see:

    a. A U.S. Marine
    b. A ISIS member

I still don't understand why you don't go pack it up and move to another country due to your obvious hate for the police and U.S. military...

How do you know who ISIS and the US military is targeting? Do you have a link you can share?

Up to this point, who has killed more civilians, the US or ISIS? Please link your source with your answer.

What makes you think you're a better American and I should leave?

"War is a racket. It always has been... A few profit - and the many pay. But there is a way to stop it. You can't end it by disarmament conferences. You can't eliminate it by peace parleys at Geneva. Well-meaning but impractical groups can't wipe it out by resolutions. It can be smashed effectively only by taking the profit out."

"War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses."

"The trouble with America is that when the dollar only earns 6 percent over here, then it gets restless and goes overseas to get 100 percent. Then the flag follows the dollar and the soldiers follow the flag."

"The normal profits of a business concern in the United States are six, eight, ten, and sometimes twelve percent. But war-time profits - ah! that is another matter - twenty, sixty, one hundred, three hundred, and even eighteen hundred per cent - the sky is the limit."

"War is just a racket... I believe in adequate defense at the coastline and nothing else."

Who is responsible for the quotes? Smedley Butler

"I spent thirty-three years and four months in active military service as a member of this country's most agile military force, the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to Major-General."

as usual a thread like this has gone off on a tangent

    one word for me ignorance.

this leads to hate, racism amongst other things and basically brings out the worst in humanity.

You never answered my multiple choice question, it's a simple question - even for you. I don't hate the country like you do. Love it or leave it. No place is perfect but perhaps you should take your chances with ISIS and get back to all of us.

This guy gets it? This is the same guy that admitted selling drugs to high school kids.

If you didn't know this was General Discussion, you'd think we were live narrating Animal Planet with a mother sparrow and her hatchlings.

This guy gets it? This is the same guy that admitted selling drugs to high school kids.

I see a man hit a woman, and I will make sure you look worse than her. I will take your drivers licence, and through the magic of the Internet, find out many things; like if you've done this before.

If you have, you are going to have "car trouble" like you would not believe............................

How anyone can be stupid enough to consider themselves a liberal is beyond me. Kill the unborn but protect the killers, hate the cops & military but support anarchy when something they/YOU determine something unjust occurs, even if it's based on a lie (hands up don't shoot). Support open borders at this time in history to take jobs away from Americans with the added bonus of terrorists getting in, but all the while making "Climate Change" the big boogeyman... Listening to Michelle Obama cry about racism when she has 72 assistants and flies all over the world on my dime, all the while he plays more golf than Tiger Woods and hating the country instead of showing how far you can go being a black woman, she continues to act like she's down with the people in West Baltimore... And then the next one coming with more baggage than American Tourister. She & Billy should've been in leg irons & orange jumpsuits long ago, but you get the government you deserve and Exhibit A to that is the Obama Administration...

Like I said, makes no sense to me other than "Liberalism is a mental disorder," coined by Dr. Michael Savage.

    Are you kidding me?

    1) ISIS will become a formal opponent for the United States as a whole.....not JUST the military. The goal of ISIS is to recruit, and bring their style of terror and gorilla warfare to the globe...in every US city, in every European city.

    2)  As for the occupation of Iraq, we have permanent military installations all over the world. South Korea, Germany, the list goes on and on. The US had considerable infrastructure built in Iraq to harbor a large contingent of military personnel for a long period of time.....how long you ask? Who knows? The occupation should end when the job is done...not because the politics of the day render a withdrawal appealing to the public.. When you create a vacuum, you cannot let the bad guys fill that vacuum.....because when you pull your troops out, everyone that you were supposed to protect, and everyone that helped you goes under the knife.  That, in a word, is WRONG.

    3) I have read a lot of your stuff Detox.....not really interested in starting a push fight with you here, but the questions you are asking are deeply flawed.....you are trying to apply reason to a situation and an enemy that defies logic. One cannot rationalize one's way out of the ISIS problem...sooner or later, the US will be forced to eliminate them; IMO better sooner than later.

    4) I read Smedley Butler's book.....I even subscribe to most of his point of view; but I guarantee, that if he was watching some of his guys get their heads cut off on television, he would want to engage the enemy directly....not play politics until the enemy becomes fortified.

We have the video of him with the gun and the park he is in and it nearly desolate. He certainly IS pointing the gun. But where and at whom?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhVewrqGFRw

Yes he is pointing the gun but how do we know it is 'at people', in what appears to be a park without many people at all. ALL we have is a caller saying that is the case. And where are the other people calling 911 saying a kid is pointing a gun at that, ya know the threat that got him killed? The original caller didn't even have the gun pointed at him!

Why wasn't he pointing it at the guy sitting behind him? Did that ever occur to you? I mean, it is on tape is it not?

Or was it just that 'the caller' was 'being scared the shi*' out of because the kid was black and he had a hoodie (like someone in my avatar).

Now when I say this, it ENRAGES the bigots because it suggests the entire premise is based on racial bias WHICH THEY CANNOT AND WILL NOT ACCEPT.

And this is the reality for virtually EVERY black American every day that posters here will NEVER experience or understand.

And this is AFTER a cop shot him in the chest after 2 seconds without warning and then falsified the report on the shooting.

Would you like to speak to the cop falsifying his report? Or do we want to engage about him pointing it at people first?

Because when we are done with the latter, I will address the former and have your head spinning like you were Linda Blair in the Exorcist.

    It's your choice.

I'd keep my mouth shut or have sufficient argumentation to talk to someone who can run circles around you.

So be careful who you are addressing and what exactly you are posting about when it comes to an issue of life and death of a 12 year old. This isn't Clippers Spurs kid.

You may look the fool...or the raging bigot...or both.

Never mind, you've accomplished both already.

What the 911 caller was doing is called a civic duty. He feared for the safety and well being of his fellow citizens. I’m glad he called. I would have done the same thing. I’ve seen videos of police screaming for help and more than capable bystanders whose civic duty is to come to the aid of officers in need of assistance just ignore the officers pleads for help. Not all citizens take action when placed in a scenario that requires action to be made. Maybe, the people who had the gun pointed at them were afraid to call 911 because they might be labeled a freaking racist.

You have no basis of any kind to disparage the 911 callers credibility. Everything you are saying is a steaming pile of conjecture.

The police report wasn’t falsified. The liberal report that you are referencing is what is falsified. This is why it pays to double check the information before you use it as a basis of an argument.

You’re not even close to being on my level. I’m well versed in law enforcement, law, and politics. If I was you, I would keep my mouth shut - boy. If you want to keep getting your @ss kicked - keep the posts coming. I'm enjoying watching you expose yourself for the mental midget that you are.

See this is where things get bizarre and you as a white male, defer completely to the caller who shi* his pants because he saw a black child with a gun (and the caller of course, was white).

Aside from women-beaters, isis, rapists and child molesters?

People that get beer muscles behind the wheel.  Those asssholes that apparently made a deal with the state to have full ownership of the road, which includes cutting you off AND FLICKING YOU OFF AFTER AS IF IT WAS YOUR FAULT!!!, throwing shitt out the window, changing lanes right into your car, pulling out a gun and murdering somebody for beeping because the murderer cut the beeper off, brake checking for no apparent reason, running red lights, driving drunk, texting, doing your hair, eye shadow and all beauty essentials while maintaining 50 mph in both lanes.

The most dangerous, most frustrating place to be in the United States of America....is on your neighborhood UNfriendly highway.  Where 100 lb teen girls have the balls and gull of a 350 lb trucker, and a 350 lb trucker has the "Becky just slept with my bf" fuse of a 100 lb teen girl.
