The third major terrorist attack in the US in the past year (and leave no doubt the Newton and Aurora shootings function on the American psyche as acts of terror), and on the anniversary of the OKC bombing, is a white on white crime (and or white on anyone crime),
Why is this noted?
People on this board will be all up in arms because you point it out.
Why? Because race matters....that is, until it doesn't matter, for them.
Race matters when a Saudi National is captured running from the scene, taken into custody, having his house searched and face plastered all over the web as a mass murderer initially because he was, get this, running from the bomb scene injured, and was of course of a darker skin hue.
Why is it noted?
Because one of the major newspapers in NYC, read by innumerable numbers of people, had a headline "BAG MEN", fingering two men with, of course, a darker skin hue feeding into that prejudice that every middle eastern male in this country and world is a potential terrorist:

Why is it noted?
Because CNN, a network watched by millions and one desperately trying to raise viewership, gave a description of the bomber as "as dark skinned male" and that was all they had at the moment but that was good enough:

Because on this very site, a poster can start a thread about a 'Bus Fight' and then make an intro to his post on why "Black" mothers are terrible mothers, that is, most or all Black mothers, and have other posters gleefully agree and mass mock; making race an issue when they want it to be, and then when it is made an issue in yet another American terrorist attack, you are a 'race baiter.'
See how that works?
You will see the threads start soon. There WILL be answers. It WILL be about mental disorders. It WILL be about Muslim extremism. It WILL be about a mother who had guns available in the house and went to shooting ranges.
While some of these answers may actually be feasible at times, the same attempts to explain the acts of other races ARE NOT. No, we must smear the entire race and group them as one and ATTACK! Those races are dysfunctional by nature. But I can assure you, the military will not be attacking Chechnya. Why? Because in this case, they isolate the religion and not the race. Because they share the race as the poster.

It matters when it matters (Bus fight threads, media fingering dark skinned middle easterners)

It doesn't matter when it doesn't matter.

And there is no talk of race until of course post #30, where a poster, seeing their photo, fingers them as Arab! After seeing a photo of them, grainy or otherwise. His eyes are trained what he wants to see. Everyone else is as quiet as a church mouse with regard to the racial make-up of the bombers. (except post #32 which of course, reason comes into play, but ONLY after seeing a pic)
Why? We know why.
It's all about race...
Until it isn't about race...
And white on white crime, or white on innocents crime, simply isn't part of the mental make-up of these posters.
BUT
Black on Black crime? Let's chit-chat baby!
Tackle and finger Saudis and Middle Easterners?
Oh yeah! Fair game.

A poster here asked me how we change things (and subsequently said I 'dodged' his question).
The problem is, I've answered it many times.
It starts with something everyone knows and loves, "PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY."'
It is YOUR PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY to understand your prejudices and like virus, racism can spread. When attitudes and actions change by ONE they start to change by many, and a mass consciousness changes. It starts with ONE. It starts with that poster.
Ghandi said, YOU be the change you want to see in the world.
You want racism to end? You want it to go away?
Start with some personal reflection about what YOU do and say and how YOU live your life. Others will be affected by the way YOU change.
