On the topic, Apple is one of the most profitable companies in the world. We're talking 100 billion net profit anually. AppleTV and iTunes not withstanding, those profits are bolstered by their primary business, device sales. iphones have some of the highest profitvmargins in the device space. Estimates as high as 60% on some models. And I would argue margins are even higher, given how R&D can falsely inflate production costs.

Apple can afford to eat tariffs abd remain insanely profitable. They won't because they are a greedy company beholden to shareholders like BlackRock, State Street, Vanguard, and the Saudis. They achieve insane profit margins by using what amounts to Chinese slave labor but the tariffs are the problem?

What happened to the Democratic party I grew up with? I'm from Oakland, right next to Berkeley. The liberals I grew up around were against these corporate fukks, as GG says. They were against warhawks too. Those days seem to be gone with the wind and Tuesday.

Fubah, Apple had a 3rd quarter net profit of 24 billion. They are at 94 billion net for the fiscal year. The tariff is not the problem. Companies raking in record profits on chinese slave labor is the problem.

Practically all goods coming in to the United States face a significantly higher tax [which American consumers will have to pay] than when Trump took office in January.

The new trade regime will put in place the highest tariffs America has imposed since 1933, during the Smoot-Hawley era — a tariff bill that contributed to the deepening of the Great Depression.
