Interest rate changes affect the distant future (to a large extent) based on actions taken today using past data. It's basically equivalent to driving while only looking in the rearview mirror.

 Another thing that baffles me is Dementia don shitty bill also cuts Medicare, because it is based on how much the Rich get in tax cuts as that will increase the debt again by him. As the debt increases over 10 years to 10 to 12 trillion more we will get an automatic cut to Medicare of 4% is projected. So along with 12 million suppose to lose benefits for cuts to medicaid every other person will also get to pay the 4% for billionaires to get their tax cuts.
