DOW Fut now stand at -352 ....-98 and -71

Yeah things have accelerated quickly, I think the market is pouting that China didnt lower their reserve rate today...but if they had it would have crushed the Yuan...

Spot Gold holding at 1162.42 ........

Now down 400 and oil about to go under 39.

You were right oil hit 38.97 and then started to go back up a little..

Quick bounce already...oil up 50 cents, DOW off lows by almost 100.

It looks like China's economy is slowing faster than most experts  thought ...how slow can go ?

It looks like things may have bottomed out ..so I'll call it a night and see what I see in the morning..

Yeah until China starts trading again it will be quiet, I am betting the pump team will come into the Chinese market and prop them up..

Wow.  Can't remember last time futures were this low before the open

I just wired more money to my Ameritrade account.  Maybe I should take it back.  I'm worried about getting money out of the bank.  I know we aren't even close to that yet.  But you never know what the next couple weeks could bring.  

We are still right at 16k, nothing even serious yet..

So they open down 1000 and within 10 min already back 500 pts.

Holy miracle rescue, now 700 pts off the lows in the first 40 min of trading..

I wonder if  most of the 1000 point opening drop was due more to machine sell-off..as apposed to people selling off ?

..and the bounce back aided by cash heavy investors taking the opportunity to buy select quality stocks..

The open was likely margin selling, so the little guy getting liquidated on margin..nobody got trades in from a retail perspective within that 5 minutes..

Gonna be a 15% round trip from open to now within 2 hours of the market starting.

Wow.  What a day.  Erasing that 1000 point open.   Then giving it back.  Then pushing back, then fading at the end.   This is not over.  If you think this is just a correction and that's it I think you are mistaken.  We might get a short covering day or two coming up though.  TZA had some roller coaster ride.  Up 2 bucks then falling to up only 25 cents and closing up 1.37.   

The Shanghai Composite Index shows no sign of slowing down ....opened at 3,004.13 point, down 6.41 per cent, down  205.87 points...

Yeah China bouncing, the US futures have been up pretty much all evening..

Everything is fine now.  Futures are up.  It was just a correction and we go to new highs.     

It took a bit longer but as I expected, China government stepped in and saved its sagging market.
