The real world demands progressive knowledge and skill. Patience and tolerance around people even if you hate them. When you work in the workplace you need to try your best to get along even with idiots that's how it goes. You're expected to do the same thing in your family unit.
And that's how you will build true leverage in the world with the knowledge on your skill set. Be responsible and be humble.

Settling disputes @ 3 PM in the schoolyard has now deteriorated into hunting each other down with guns.
Patience is rarely shown. It reminds me of the joke "Oh Lord give me patience but hurry up." We have morphed into an "everything now" society. Courtesy & civility towards each other at an airport is experienced less frequently for sure. What use to be a pleasure is now a nightmare.
Personally at this time in my life I'm in a reflective mode. I've seen the absolutely humongous homes being built in our town & deliver food for Meals on Wheels into some of the most rundown roads & neighborhoods where public transportation is non-existent for most & their food dependency is off the charts. The rich getting richer & the poor are indeed getting poorer. I also have to admit I have not handled the politically charged atmosphere in a non emotional manner. So much of what I love about America is being torn apart & destroyed but not OBLITERATED! We'll get our shit together or die trying.
Here's some wisdom someone somewhere shared with me. "Before you get into an argument, remember a bee doesn't waste his time trying to convince a fly that honey is better than shit. Some minds are not meant to be changed. Save your energy for what rally matters."
