I'm not disagreeing with you on the Christian Taliban part either Club. We share the same sentiment regarding religion and I'm not disagreeing with you on certain views regarding Christianity. I just know that any kind of political movement based off religion should be held in check, especially one that encourages violence upon anyone that criticizes or wants to leave that religion.

i'm sure we don't disagree on much, just offering a different opinion. 

the media and the politicians loves to beat these terrorist acts to death (which is exactly what the terrorists hope for) but the odds of any one of us being affected by any of these events are very remote.  i'd guess more people died from lightning strikes, or choking on hot dogs or baby seat issues than terrorist attacks in this country in the last several years. 

but there are things that limit our rights and negatively affect us everyday that our government does, much of it religion influences, that gets ignored.

Is not America enforcing their law, which is about as far from democracy as imaginable, that is pure occupation and subjugation, in the Middle East while in Iraq, in Afghanistan, in Yemen, considering Syria, raids in Pakistan, not mention all the other areas they occupy in the ME and through billions of dollars a year in aid to Israel, which are spent in part, to maintain what are essentially Palestinian ghettos where people have inadequate food water electricity schooling jobs etc etc etc.

And YOU are afraid of THEM and their hell bent ways to institute Sharia law being forced upon you.

Just like Big Vern and his 'wake up' call, you make perfect sense...

I'm sure 99% of people in the Middle East are great people. By "them" in my above post, I am referring to the terrorists, NOT the regular citizens that live in middle eastern countries. Not all middle eastern people are terrorists, just some of them.  

Just wanted to make that clear for scalabrine.

Please do tell me where I said I support aiding Israel, please do tell me where I failed to acknowledge American Imperialism in the Middle East and please tell me where I said that America has the perfect form of Government? 

If you want, I'm sure we could go round and round til the beginning of time about who started what concerning religious and political atrocities with the middle east and the west. I'm not really interested in that. I'm a very vocal opponent of religion. I've been a very vocal opponent of Iraq and have always tried to be reasonable concerning others point of view. I'm all for America leaving the Middle East and I completely understand that one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. 

With that being said, It's Islam that is very persistent on spreading their ways around the world. What do you think would happen if Muslims ever became a majority in a European country? You think they wouldn't try and institute Sharia Law? 

Europe is becoming increasingly concerned about this and America should definitely take notice. It wasn't Buddhism or Sikh's that flew planes into buildings, performed bombings in Madrid and London, murdered Theo van Gogh over a movie and threatened several other artists, film makers, and cartoonist over depictions of Islam. 

So yeah, I would have a fear of having to live under Sharia/Islam.

i don't want to sound like some conspiracy theorist, but it looks more and more like, among the media, politicians and vocal and imposing religious here (what the Church of ClubDirt has labeled, the axis of evil) it's one big misdirection.  they want us focused on the extremes all of the time, but the extreme, by definition, is uncommon, irregular.  there are common and routine ways we are getting fucked right here but maybe it's too subtle or people just aren't prepared to focus on them.

Dirt, I definitely wouldn't call you a conspiracy theorist and I do agree that the media is always going to showcase the nut jobs and magnify their actions. I'm not disagreeing with you on that.

However there are many Muslim radicals that are telling their followers that the actions of the guy in the OP are, not only correct, but encouraged.

I believe that the only reason why you don't see actions like this more often in mainstream western society is because they don't have large enough populations. However their population numbers are growing in western society.

This nut job chopped up this British soldier because of religious doctrine. He even referenced something to the extent of "getting your people off of our land". My point is when does "our land" start becoming the western European countries, and then America and Canada? How much of a population increase do Muslims need before they adapt that mentality in western civilization?

I really don't want to find out.

Also there are British Muslims that want to abide by Sharia Law over common British Law. That is a slippery slope to start heading down.

There was another incident in Sweden where a local film maker couldn't show his film because Muslims protested it.

This film was absolute trash but it still should have the right to be seen by people who want to watch it. Islam has absolutely no problem stifling free speech when it comes to criticizing Islam.

They were Arab but they claimed they were Swedish citizens. I'm guessing they immigrated there but they're going to have kids who will likely identify with being muslim over being Swedish.

 Normally, I take the side of free? speech. But in this case, the Muslims had a permit, and the guys holding signs were obviously doing so to incite a riot. And all things considered, the Muslims as a whole were rather peaceful with these "Christians" who were trying to bait them and rain on their parade. They were daring some young punk Muslims to do something, and they obviously obliged.

Whenever you hear a person who is so entitled to an entire nation to say "Love it or Leave it!" you pretty much can assume you are dealing with a middle-class white male, who takes all the credit of yesteryear of the forefathers they leaned about in social studies class in 8th grade who are solely responsible for building this nation in their eyes, whitewashing every square inch of history to an unconscionable level.

Right, you mean the peaceful Muslim Americans I am supporting who are as American as you in every regard and treat their wives and daughters with respect within our borders?

Those Muslims? That's funny scalabrine because the majority of your posts are reminiscent of an episode of Fat Albert's Junkyard Gang.

One of my favorite episodes was the jailhouse episode when the gang got to take a tour of the prison and one of the inmates told Fat Albert that he could smell him. Great stuff.

I'm sure they are just like a TV show to you. To millions of others, the bigotry I point out in these forums among living, breathing people who go out into the world and spread it like a virus yourself  included (probably at the top of the list although there are worse believe it or not) in threads such as these (and even your post above this one), is helpful even if they never visit this site. if your incessant bigotry isn't shamed, then it will never be mitigated.

Even if it's shamed and pointed out on a gambling website it is one more person who realizes they aren't all they are cracked up to be unless someone tells them, but that  excludes you and Slovak who are more than proud of your intolerant and corrosive views.

Why do you label people as bigots because they do not believe in accepting crimes and lifestyles of people of another color? There are some lowlife white kids that live in my city that I probably dislike more than the lowlife black ones, so why does it make me a bigot that I don't like the black ones?

I hate to rain on your parade again, but you couldn't be more wrong. Muslim women living in the United States DO NOT have the same equal rights as the Muslim men or any other women living in this country purely based on traditional beliefs of the Muslim religion. They may be more free than a Muslim woman living in the middle east, but in no way are as free as any black, white, or Hispanic woman also living in the same place. Come to America and live free, unless you are a Muslim woman.
