I respectfully disagree... Nivana's breakthrough album Nevermind came out the same year as Perl Jam's 10.. Nirvana didn't change Rock music all by themselves, even though they are often credited as doing so. 10 actually outsold Nevermind if I am not mistaken by several million albums...
Also, I highly doubt that 15 year old girl were the ones voting that awarded the Foo Fighters 3 Grammy awards for their Albums..

Your a very biased person obviously on kurts side... but what is also very obvious is you are very uneducated. This detective was hired by people related to him to investigate the case. If you did your research you would also know Kurt did admit to being gay as a teenager and was bisexual. Do you think all investigations done by the police are stupid? He was paid to help the family figure out what happend, thats what he did his job. These were his findings. How do you explain things like this:

I dont think Nirvana changed rock and roll all by themselves. My point was that Nirvana had a huge impact on music, during a time where rock and roll was changing. While the Foo Fighters are an OK band, they certainly have not had an impact like Nirvana did.
Dave Grohl is certainly gifted, and absolutely a large part of the success Nirvana had. Going from drummer to front man is almost unheard of. I just dont think Nirvana and The Foo Fighters have much in common other than having Grohl as a member.

I remember watching interviews with cobain and he often bitched that he had to write all of their music. I wonder if that was really true or if that was just how he wanted it? I know that band had some real issues that revolved around kurt's problems. it's really hard to say where they would be today had cobain not committed suicide.
Yeah I always wonder that too. But its also pretty incredible how nirvana was able to become so influential with only 5 albums when you count the unplugged one..
