Darwin is Hitler works so well because the religious/conservative movement has been able to use this label for Obama and have everyone believe and embrace it...
 
The reality is that in this day and age you can call anyone hitler and religious/conservative massess will turn agaisnt them...
 
Kinda like calling people terrorists in the early 2000s or communists in the 20th century...
 
I still have to watch the clip tho, but because I work at place that is clinical in nature, I probably would be written up by my clinical supervisor for playing a clip would be inappropriate for work because it is so blasphemous.

This looks like a thread full of back patting.  I would love to take the time to write in the thousand counter arguments to this thread but there is of course at least a decent website designed to do this.

This is what I love about right-wing Christians.  They can't fathom the idea that not only animals and humans, but the planet evolves over millions and millions of years.   The entire universe has been evolving for BILLIONS of years.

Yet, they believe that some great wizard in the sky snapped his finger and created us.  And they have never seen or heard this great wizard but they BELIEVE he's there.

What seems more logical people?  Evolution or a magical person in the sky?

haven't seen the video.  don't care to.  but, I hope you'll believe in a God someday, Van.  It's a wonderful thing.  I wonder if your homosexuality is giving you cause to find fault with religion in general?  I will agree that Cameron seems to be a little out there, but the guy is just following his heart like you or me.

2) I was simply asking a question.  I don't think it's so far-fetched to hypothesize that homosexuals have problems with religion simply because it is such a common belief in religious circles that homosexuality is immoral, therefore putting them on the defensive from the moment they step into a church.  Frankly, I sense a strong dislike of anything religious in your posts.  In considering what would create such a feeling, I wondered if this might be the reason.  I suppose it could be molestation by a religious figure, strict religious parents, or something else.  Homosexuality just seemed the most likely answer.
