i was waiting for the punchline in that kirk cameron video. i thought it was going to be a comedy. instead it was just sad. i love how these religious nuts get all scared by atheists (when they don't even really understand what that word means). just sad. reminds me of this one.
it's funny that you post this video on the same day i read this fucked up article about another young 80's tv star (the story is fucked up except for the abortion part. that part lends some reason and sanity to the situation). what happens to these people's brains. i recall some of those young actors from different strokes got all fucked up when they got older too.

I am a proud atheist. My morals and values are very similar to those of moderately religious people but the difference is I don't believe in any God or Godly figure of any sort.

I understand, but I am talking about the hidden cost of religion on morality. Im not talking about the guy we all know that goes to church and is a great guy, or the atheist who is a rapist.
Im talking about the institution of religions effect on morality. Things like holding back medical advances to relieve human suffering, openly using fear as a tactic to recruit, huge amounts of resources (money and human resources) being wasted on absolutely nothing productive to society - not to mention the obvious wars, conflicts, terrorism that come in the name of religion.
