Last night I saw what was probably the most disturbing thing I had ever seen. I am not going to go into details, but it involves animals suffering.
I’m 58 now and when I was younger, for whatever reason, I wasn’t as much as an empath as I am now.
What I saw last night just keeps playing over and over in my head. I’m hoping that, with time, it’ll mostly go away. It usually does.
That said, I am honestly looking forward to eternal rest at this point. My health is gonna just continue to decline. I just lost one of my closest friends. The longer I’m around, I’m just gonna lose more.
Add to that, I’ll continue to see more and more misery. Humanity seems to want to make sure that we see plenty of that.
I’m just so tired of it, and it’s not going to change. It’s not going to get better.
In the next year or two, maybe three, either I am going to die, or someone else very close to me will die. Of course, any one of us could go tomorrow.
About a month ago, right down the street from me, an 11 year old boy was sleeping. It was about midnight when an 18 year old girl drove her pickup truck into the side of the house, killing the boy in his bed.
And yet most people continue to act like this reality isn’t absurd.
