Their confusion is what is hindering them from believing, it is satan that is blinding them and keeping them in the dark.

Imagine that confused atheist van telling us believers we are crazy to object to abortion. He should know by now we Christians object to the killing of anyone. We obey and follow the commandment, "Thou shalt not kill".

    We are pro-life.

I'm still waiting for you to show me where I contradicted myself.  That was a few weeks ago...  Still waiting...

This is for rostos:  If you hear that a person chooses to abort their baby, why would you not be happy?  If you 100% believe the soul of the baby will go to heaven, then you should be happy for that unborn baby.  It gets to skip over the hard part of life on earth and goes right to eternal happiness.  What's not to be happy about?  Are you just jealous that the baby doesn't have to go through life like you do?  Van is right.

You shouldn't be happy that a murder was committed, but you should certainly be happy for the baby.

Mate, the bible says that a human being DOES NOT have an option to abort the baby or not....It is not their choice, because it is murder......

You cant take one part of the bible that says babies will go to heavan and ignore another part of the bible which says thou shall not kill.

The mistake here is that the human being thinks they have a choice, according to the bible, they dont.

There are no conditions on murder. The bible doesnt say you can kill only if you think the soul is going to go to heavan.....

You guys have taken the bible and twisted it left right and centre....

It specifically says, do not murder, it doesnt say, murder if you think the soul is going to heavan.......dont murder, full stop...Otherwise, why stop at the baby? Why didnt we kill mother Theresa when she was alive? Why not kill the pope or bishops? Why dont i kill my mum, i believe she is going to heavan..

I am afraid you guys are completely missing the point...

The baby has a RIGHT to live just as you and i......The mother that is aborting the baby is taking that babies right away.......

I cant stress enough, it is not an option.

he won't be able to, just like he isn't able to show where I contradicted myself. these guys like to make up things to try to help their cause...pathetic...

hey rostos, it's heaven not heavan , wow, you would think you would know how to spell that

Reply: So with what you said above, I can assume that you believe that life exist on other planets or in other solar systems. But why would you believe that when currently there are no evidences that there exist a possibility?

The constant need and requests for proof and evidence by atheist is just an insecurity that they have built up to justify the lie.
    _______________

Actually, it's a an attempt to find the truth.

I'll tell you what.  Send me $1,000.  I have an idea that will turn that $1,000 into $10,000 over the course of the year.  I can't prove it but I know it to be true.  I will give you half of the $10,000, but I need you to have faith in me.

You willing to send me the $1,000?  If not, I'll just chalk it up to your insecurity you built up to justify the fact that you don't believe.

You guys have taken the bible and twisted it left right and centre....

It specifically says, do not murder, it doesnt say, murder if you think the soul is going to heavan

    ___________

It's "heaven," by the way.  And you miss the point (as usual).  Van wasn't saying you should murder someone, he was asking why you would be against abortion since every aborted fetus goes to heaven.  Isn't that the ultimate goal?  Heaven.

Question:  If a Dr. aborts a fetus in Germany, will their soul go to heaven?   If yes, then how can you be upset about it?  They go from a fetus to ever lasting life.....isn't that a great trade?

If you don't believe the fetus's soul goes to heaven, then God doesn't exist.  How could He and let something like this happen?

You can't play both sides my friend.

By the way, why is suicide a sin?  If you believe in God, wouldn't it get you into heaven sooner rather than later?

Aborting a fetus is murder.....and murder is wrong.  But if someone DOES decide to abort a fetus, fear not.  Their soul will go to heaven. How convenient is that?

By the way, I do have a few questions re. heaven:

What happens when you get there?  How do you find the other "souls" you may know?  Do you have an address?  Do you eat?  Do you sleep?  Do you poop?  Do you work?  Do you communicate and if so, how?  Do you argue?  Do you ever get in fights?  Do you have sex? Do you still chase girls?

I think you should have a look at what UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES mean........if it is under no circumstances, that means NO REASON, not if they think they are going to heavan, NOTHING.......
    _______________

It is "heaven," by the way.  Look at it from the casual observer's point of view.   Aborted fetus goes to heaven, right?  Person who aborts the fetus begs God for forgiveness and apologizes for his sin.

Both end up in heaven.  How is that bad?

How can you condemn a certain behavior and at the same time reward that behavior with ever lasting life...for both?

The mistake here is that the human being thinks they have a choice, according to the bible, they dont.

There are no conditions on murder. The bible doesnt say you can kill only if you think the soul is going to go to heavan.....

Stop telling me killing is wrong and answer the question I'm asking you.  Are you happy for the baby, or not?

Suicide is murder...since you are killing yourself it is murder...again one of God's commandment is, "Thou shalt not kill" should be very clear to understand and it is a sinful act which if you do commit will not get you to heaven.

You can't commit this sinful murderous act which would be your last sinful act and at the same time before you do it ask the Lord to forgive you for what you are going to do. It doesn't work that way.

Life is so short as it is anyway regardless if you are an aborted fetus or live to be a 120 yrs. old when you compare our lives on earth to a life of eternity which is forever.

So a believer in God just has to live out their lives, the day will eventually come when we all die but it must not be by your own hands (suicide).

The Holy Bible tells us which is the Word of God if you ask for forgiveness of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord Savior and have repented your sins you will have eternal life in His Kingdom of Heaven.

For those who reject Jesus Christ, they will spend eternity in hell because they still have that sin debt to pay. For no one can enter heaven with sins on their slate.

You're exactly right. I would be very insecure about sending you a $1000 because I don't know you or your business acumen. I know God and KNOW what he has done in my life and others. Thank you for proving my point. I think you're finally catching on.

I have to respectfully disagree with Rostos on 2 main points. The Bible doesn't refer to abortion in any of it's books. Although you're correct the 10 commandments do state that "thou shall not kill" The bible also says there is a time for everything including war which would include killing. So there are justifications for killing in the bible. Don't let the atheist get you caught up in a game of gotcha where you have to explain every contradiction in the bible. The Bible if full of contradictions because life is full of contradictions. As I have stated before the Bible is based on the different authors perception of what they're seeing. It doesn't make it wrong its just another perspective. The atheist want to turn it into a zero sum game. Don't fall for it.
On the issue of abortion my stance is I am personally against abortion except in cases of incest or rape but I don't feel like the government should be in our bedroom. So therefore I am like most Christians pro-choice. This notion that you are a bad Christian if you're pro choice is extremely out of touch. Conservatives claim that they  want less government but in cases that are extremely personal they want the government involved. I say the government has no business telling a woman what she can and can't do with her body. I don't believe that a Christian woman who has an abortion is going to hell. I stand on God's word that we can't judge others less we be judged.

Vanzack along with the other atheists on this thread keep trying to pigeon hole all Christians in the same block. Not all Christians are Republicans, not all Christians are right wing conservatives. It doesn't make them wrong but your perception of Christians in particular and theists in general is very antiquated. It makes one wonder how you have come up with such arcane notions about people. I equate it with saying all Black people are rappers and athletes. You really need to broaden your horizon and perhaps get to know the world around you better. This is an ongoing problem in our country where people are constantly trying to peg others into a slot where if you're this then you must be that. Life just doesn't work that way. There are many differences in Christianity and to lump all of them into the same category is doing a disservice to them and you as well. Conversely saying that because there are so many differences somehow prove that there is no God is also an error in thought.
There will always be differences in people regardless of what category we are talking about. What unites us is our belief in a higher power. I know this is a hard concept for the atheists to accept but you can't argue about it. The fact of the matter is because you are, God is or because God is, you are. If you don't accept it, that's fine but to continuously try to denigrate and insult those that do is unacceptable. God has given us free will so if you choose to not believe that is your freedom of choice that God has given you. I think what we have tried to accomplish is an enlightenment to the truth of all that there is. You have chosen to reject that. So be it but your rejection wont stop us from presenting it and you certainly aren't going to convince any of us to all of the sudden reject God almighty who has blessed us so much. I know I for one could care less whether you agree or think I am a fool. If you read through my posts I haven't attempted to present a shred of evidence to convince atheist of anything. I have presented articles written by former atheist or scientist to try to get you guys to think for a moment about your position. But I have said many times in so many words. I am not in the "proof and evidence" business. I am in the "knowing" business and I know that bothers quite a few people. But that's not problem that is yours. I don't follow dogma or man made religions I follow God. I don't need a middleman telling me what God's message is. I am not anti-Church. I feel if you can find a good Church with like spiritual minded people that is a good thing. But to succumb to a fire and brimstone everybody's going to hell church isn't what life is supposed to be about. Again I know the atheist will find many problems with what I have said but I truly don't care. It is not with arrogance that I speak but of conviction. It is a conviction that has guided me my whole life- not indoctrination but a knowing deep inside that my relationship with God is secure and I certainly don't have all the answers because nobody does. But I do know that I have a relationship with God and it is the power within me that doeth the work. Let he who has ears hear my words and let he who has eyes see what I am saying and understand and so it is.

The questions you're asking are good ones. Some we will be able to find out and others we wont. We will not get all the answers on this plane of existence that just the way it is. Other answers can come to us through our closeness with God. If you ask with a sincere heart and seek the truth I am positive that some of your questions will be answered for you. But if you ask these questions out of the cynicism of an atheist then know you will not find the answers you seek. Only you know your hearts intentions.
On the issue of fetuses going to heaven, I think the question becomes when does a soul take possession of a body. Is it at conception I seriously doubt that. This is really a murky subject because it segways into so many other schools of thought about reincarnation, soul choice ( where we choose our circumstances prior to incarnating) consciousness and life itself. I really don't think this is a black and white issue. I think this is very gray and we can't say "yes this baby went to heaven" when that baby wasn't even born. It's ok to say we just don't know. The atheist want an answer to everything and even you provided an answer to all their questions they would have more questions and when all is said and done they would just ask for more "proof and evidence" This is how the ego/devil/dark powers operate. It keeps them running and scurrying like mice on a never ending treadmill seeking that which could never be gotten. The atheist that I have spoken with who have turned away from this great lie seem to say the same thing. At some point in all their seeking and never being satisfied they realized they were on a unattainable mission. Once an atheist realizes that they will NEVER attain what they're seeking they will grow tired of the game. At this point their higher conscious will kick in and that's when they will realize that their journey has been in vain and come to the realization that God is. Some atheist will never reach this point others will. I invite my atheist friends to talk to former atheists like I have and find out for yourselves what turned them around. That is of course if you're not to afraid to face the truth of the matter.

Of course the atheist will try to tell us about ex-Christians that have become atheists so before you bring that out let me just say this. In every case of theist becoming atheist you can trace it back to the religion that they were involved in. As I have said many times Religion isn't God. Man made religions are man's attempt to control man through his dogma. This isn't God. It doesn't mean that Religion can't play a vital role in your spiritual development but it does depend on the form that Religion takes. So my prayer is that the atheists who read this thread will someday get tired of the lie that is atheism and find God in their own way and  come home. Give up this endless, thirstless quest you have to find all the answers. You wont be able to find them on this plane of existence. So with that in mind I hope you find the peace that you seek and the love that you deserve through God the Heavenly Father.

Using a Charlatan like Benny Hinn to refute the miracle of healing is plain ignorant. Of course there are people who claim to heal falsely and seek money and fame for doing nothing. Charlatans have been here since  beginning of time. Jesus said to your work quietly. If you want to investigate real healing I suggest you google John of God. A healer in Brazil that performs miracles daily with little fanfare. He is getting worldwide attention from medical doctors and scientist who can't  explain it. I offer this as yet another example of what happens when you listen to the world. Healing is real. Will there be people who falsely claim they can heal in the name of God? Of course there will be. Does this mean that God doesn't exist or can't heal. Of course not. But believe what you will. I suggest anybody interested look up John of God. There are others performing real miracles as well and they're not on TV asking for money or performing in front of sell out crowds.

It is "heaven," by the way.  Look at it from the casual observer's point of view.   Aborted fetus goes to heaven, right?  Person who aborts the fetus begs God for forgiveness and apologizes for his sin.

Both end up in heaven.  How is that bad?

How can you condemn a certain behavior and at the same time reward that behavior with ever lasting life...for both?

it's funny how he keeps saying heavan. It's not even a typo, because he keeps saying it even when corrected, so he must believe it's spelled that way. it's interesting, education level and belief in god seem to go hand in hand....just look at smoothd's posts (know and no, do not mean the same thing, for example)

actually, we're the ones who say it's alright to not know everything, and that one day with science we will hopefully find out...

and even you provided an answer

we don't want answers, we want evidence that provides answers...

to all their questions they would have more questions

yes, asking questions is how one learns
