    Dr. Dre - Dre day

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qw1n_p45wgI&ob=av3n

The premise of the video concerns a parody character of Eazy-E called "Sleazy-E", complete with a Jheri Curl hairstyle and wearing dark sunglasses (played by A.J. Johnson), getting a new contract from a man depicted as a fat,money-grubbing record producer (played by a real life executive producer from Interscope Records, Steve Berman[citation needed]). The story features Dr. Dre and Snoop Doggy Dogg walking around and gaining a following from others around them. There is an interlude in the middle of the video, where Sleazy-E introduces his two new grotesque protégés (played by Bushwick Bill and Warren G) to his new manager. Sleazy appears in a number of situations, including being shot, becoming homeless, being chased by armed men, and finally, on the Pasadena freeway with a sign: "Will Rap for Food". The video also parodies Luke Campbell as a gap toothed rapper letting other men give him "anal" sex.

In April 2005 the video was twelfth on MTV2 and XXL magazine's survey of the "25 Greatest West Coast Videos".[1]

Dr Dre - Let Me Ride

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBu2uxdvNmI

"Let Me Ride" is the third single released by Dr. Dre from his 1992 album The Chronic. It experienced moderate success on the charts until it became a hit after Dr. Dre won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance during the Grammy Awards of 1994. Snoop Doggy Dogg is involved for a "Rollin' in my 6-4" phrase that transmits the verses into the chorus and in some background vocals. The vocals are sung by Ruben and Jewell, and the lyrics were ghostwritten by RBX, who explains how Dr. Dre came to use the lyrics (which RBX had originally written for a different track), in the book How to Rap[1].

This single helped The Chronic go triple platinum (3+ million copies sold). It has several samples mixed into the song from Parliament's "Mothership Connection (Star Child)", James Brown's "Funky Drummer" and Bill Withers's 1972 hit "Kissin' My Love".

Dr. Dre - Bitches Ain't Shit

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPeZt2U00Sg

"Bitches Ain't Shit" features West Coast hip hop, gangsta rap, and g-funk, much like the rest of Dr. Dre's album The Chronic. The song reminisces about Dr. Dre's former N.W.A. band-mate Eazy-E (under his real name of "Eric Wright") and his manager Jerry Heller. It is part of the Ruthless/Death Row feud. The song features Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, Snoop Dogg, and Jewell.

The track wasn't listed on the first edition of The Chronic. The album was re-released in 2001 with the track listed.

    Dr. Dre - Still D.R.E.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kG_qcud1ShM

"Still D.R.E." is a song by Dr. Dre, released as the lead single from his multi-platinum second album 2001. This song features Snoop Dogg on the intro, chorus and outro

The single was popular, helping the album reach multi-platinum status, announcing Dre's triumphant return to the forefront of the hip-hop scene. "Still D.R.E." debuted at number 93 on the Billboard Hot 100 and fell off the charts soon after. It was more successful in the UK where it reached #6.

The music video, directed by Hype Williams, consists mainly of Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre driving and riding in lowrider cars. It features a cameo from Eminem, seen chasing a group of girls across a beach when Dre raps, "Kept my ear to the streets, signed Eminem / He's triple platinum, doing 50 a week."

Dr. Dre - Forgot About Dre

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5a93wABHNM

"Forgot About Dre" is a Grammy Award-winning single from Dr. Dre's 2001, featuring Eminem, reaching #25 on the Billboard Hot 100, #14 on the U.S. R&B chart, and #7 in the UK Singles Chart. Like the album's lead single "Still D.R.E.," the song addresses Dre's critics in a defiant manner, as Dre announces his return to the hip-hop scene and reminds listeners of his significant influence on the genre.

In the music video, a few explicit lines in Eminem's verse are replaced with a skit in which Eminem is answering reporter Jane Yamamoto's questions about a fire he and Dre had started. This video won the MTV Video Music Award for Best Rap Video in 2000. The song is considered to be a response to disses made by Death Row artists on Suge Knight Represents: Chronic 2000, a compilation released by Suge Knight which takes the original title for Dre's album. The song samples The Climb by No Doubt as well which is the bass line.

At the end of the "Forgot About Dre" music video there is a small teaser where Hittman performs the first verse of the song "Last Dayz".

In August 2009, Pitchfork Media named "Forgot About Dre" the 68th greatest song of the 2000s.[1]

According to a Behind The Boards interview on Shade 45, Eminem on Sirius Satellite Radio, Eminem wrote the song with Snoop Dogg in mind “Originally I had planned to see if Snoop would do the chorus.. I thought it would be crazy if like.. I had the middle verse, Snoop did the chorus..”.[2]

The line "Who you think brought you the OGs, Eazy-Es, Ice Cubes, and The D.O.C.s, the Snoop D-O-double-Gs, and the group that said 'Motherfuck the police'?" outlines Dre's importance in the rap world, the theme of the song.

Eminem's verse features the bizarre violence and aggression typical of his "Slim Shady" alter ego, describing him choking a pedestrian ("One day I was walkin' by with a Walkman on/When I caught a guy givin' me an awkward eye/So I strangled him off in the parking lot with his Karl Kani") and threatening to kill a woman ("Fuck you, too, bitch, call the cops/I'ma kill you and them loud-ass motherfuckin' barkin' dogs"), as well as bragging about how he gets out of trouble, in conflict with the law ("And when the cops came through/Me and Dre stood next to a burnt down house with a can full of gas and handful of matches/And still weren't found out (right here!)")

Dr. Dre - The Next Episode

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZXc39hT8t4

"The Next Episode" is a single by Dr. Dre released in 2000 from his album 2001, which was released in 1999. It features Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, & Kurupt (the latter two uncredited). It was the third single from 2001 and peaked at number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100. It sold 146,570 copies between 2001 and 2002 in the UK according to Chartfacts. This song is the second most downloaded song by Dr. Dre on iTunes.

Dre's verse was written by then Aftermath artist, Hittman. This single's title harkens back to Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's classic smash hit "Nuthin' But a "G" Thang" from Dre's 1992 solo debut The Chronic in which Snoop Dogg instructs listeners at the end of the chorus to, "just chill, 'til the next episode," (the line itself being a reference to the song "It's My Thang," from the EPMD album Strictly Business) which in fact did not refer to this single but its predecessor, a leftover song from 1993 originally recorded for Doggystyle, but unincluded in its final version.[1]

Originally listed on the back cover of Doggystyle as "Tha Next Episode." The original version of the song was by Snoop Dogg featuring Dr. Dre, and had a much different beat and different lyrics. The original was 4:36 long, and referred to Dr. Dre's "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang" numerous times. The background of the original was later used in Warren G's 'Runnin' Wit No Breaks' on the Regulate...G Funk Era album.

The song's main sample interpolates David McCallum's "The Edge," borrowing from a brief segment at the beginning of the song, repeated in the middle of the song and in the end sequence.

The song was sampled by R&B trio City High for their 2001 hit "What Would You Do."

It was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 2001 for Dre and Snoop. The award, however, went to Dre and Eminem for "Forgot About Dre".

The edit released for radio and music channels was heavily edited and had many re-recorded lines.

Barry Bonds used the instrumental section before the first vocals as his plate appearance music for a period of time during the 2000s.

The song is listed at #306 on Pitchfork's greatest songs of the 2000s.

Dr Pepper "Slow is Better, Trust me Im a Doctor": Starring Dr Dre

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8-aqKal6x4

    "trust me, Im a doctor"

Advertising supporting the slogan has celebrities with famous relations to the word "doctor" (Dr. Dre, Julius "Dr. J" Erving, Gene Simmons (writer of the Kiss song "Calling Dr. Love"), et al.) or who played fictional doctors (such as Neil Patrick Harris or Kelsey Grammer) endorsing the beverage. The ads culminate with the celebrity stating, "Trust me. I'm a doctor", followed by the new slogan appearing onscreen against an ice-cold glass of Dr Pepper.[29]

Geto Boys - Mind Playing Tricks On Me

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJtHdkyo0hc

Mind Playing Tricks on Me is a single by the Geto Boys, featured on their 1991 album We Can't Be Stopped. It was the only number-one single (chart: Hot Rap Singles) ever released by the Geto Boys. It reached #23 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the highest charting single by the Geto Boys. It was also certified Gold by the RIAA. [1]

"Mind Playing Tricks on Me" was rated number 18 in the 100 Greatest Rap Songs by About.com. It was also rated number 82 in VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the 90's [2]

The Kottonmouth Kings remade the song for their album Hidden Stash II: The Kream of the Krop under the same name.

Kryptik & Team Death made a remix of the song for the compilation "Devil's Nite 2k8" titled "Mind Playing Tricks On Me '08"

"Mind Playing Tricks on Me" has been referenced by Prodigy, of Mobb Deep fame, in his single, "Mac 10 Handle", and by The Clipse, in the song "Nightmares" of their second album, Hell Hath No Fury.

The Notorious B.I.G. references "Mind Playing Tricks on Me" and sings the guitar line from the song's chorus (originally sampled from the Isaac Hayes song "Hung up on my Baby") in his hit "One More Chance."

In the song "She Lives In My Lap" off the highly successful 2003 OutKast album Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, Andre 3000 samples Scarface's vocals from "Mind Playing Tricks on Me".

In the track "Walk in the Streets" The Game references "Mind Playing Tricks on Me" with the lines: "Must I remind you of that Geto Boy track/ Your mind is playing tricks on you, you'll never go plaque".

Stephan Jenkins of alternative rock band Third Eye Blind said this, along with other rap songs from the early '90s, helped shape Third Eye Blind's hit song "Semi-Charmed Life".[3]

In his album The B. Coming, Beanie Sigel, in the highly acclaimed song "Feel it in the Air", recycles a lyric from Scarface's intro to the song - "I sit alone in my four cornered room".

In 2008, it was ranked number 45 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop.

The song was also included in the "Pitchfork 500", a book of the greatest 500 songs from '76-'06 published by Pitchfork Media.

Destiny's Child's "Illusion" featuring Wyclef and Pras sampled "Mind Playin' Tricks on Me" on their eponymous 1998 self-titled first album.

Don't like black people.  No problem!  Lil Wye!

Go on and slip me 2 xanax bars, I'm ready to get fooled
Fifth crown to wash it down I'm downtown snapping rolls
Aint no shame up in my game, in fact I'm in to lead the range
Oxycontin in my system man I'm feelin kinda strange
Watch me choke up out this dope blueberry from Texas
You wanna get up in rotation, thats too bad cause I'm stressin
By now its 1:30 AM , 11 percocet just entered me
15 minutes from this second I'll be crawlin on my knees
Laughin at the crowd of all the clowns that be surroundin me
Pop another loritab to calm me down and let me see
Body be relaxed muscles be loose and you have stopped the pain
No more bitchin bout your day from at and drivin in the rain
    ....
Oxycontin, xanax bars, percocets and loritab, valiums, morphine patches ecstacy and its all up for grabs.
Whatcha want? Whatcha need?  Hit me up I gotcha mayn.

Scarecrow, scarecrow, what's that you poppin?
A powerful pill they call oxycontin
Yet its so tiny and it got you draggin
Haven't you heard big things come in small packages?
I prefer the orange ones with the black OC
Take 2 an you cannot move up out your seat
Some people melt em down in a needle and shoot em up
But I pop 'em with seroquil like glue, I am stuck.
    ....
