I am going to quit buying food

Legwand..   you've been in this same situation since last year when you had the long ass thread about losing every bet. I'm pretty much in the same boat but sometimes you got to just take a look in the mirror and fix whats wrong.  You seem like a pretty intelligent guy...  What do you do for a living?   Save up, take a class you find interesting or something and start stepping up to the plate and improving your life ( I'm talking to myself too)

What I'm doing now, since I ended my layoff with a new job, is rededicating myself to paying off debt.  I sat down and figured to the hundredth of a percent what I'm going to use out of my paycheck for each bill.  For example, my small ones I'm hitting really hard and paying them off ASAP.  My HSBC account will be one of the first to go.  I'm spending 7.5% of every paycheck on that account.  I'll have it paid off in no time.  When it is paid off, I'll take that 7.5% and use it on my GE account, which I am currently using 2.25% of my checks on.  So then my GE account will be getting 9.75% of my checks til I pay that off.  Which will be just 3 or 4 months.  Then I'll take that 9.75% of my check and devote that to my next bill, which is already getting 2.25% of check... and so on.  I'll be out of debt in no time.  Then again, I dont have any kids and I rent, so I dont have much debt to begin with. 

But that's how I'm attacking it if it helps.  This economy sucks, and I just hope it picks up, for everyone's sake.

I didn't mean for it to come across that way. It just appears to me that if legwand truly has these money issues and have fallen back on hard times, then why is he concerned about getting a date with a bank teller a few days ago? Either there are plenty of BS (think VaughnK) involved in his posts, or he has got his priority all mixed up. Think about it. 

 jpero has already stated the point that I wanted to make,if you only have $50 a month to spend then drinking anything other than water is not an option.If you are someone that needs coffee everyday and can't always go to a hotel then visit one of your local car dealer's service department lounges.They usually also serve donuts/pastries as well and believe me they will never notice you.

 Trying to make it on $50 a month will definitely require that you find some free food.If you are not a picky eater you can dine at McDonalds for free very easily.Get in the drive thru line (there must be a car in front of you and a car behind you),when you get to the speaker say something like "I've decided to go inside." When you get to the pay window you can say the same thing,then you pull up behind the car at the pickup window.The car behind you will then pull up to the pay window and pay for their order.Then when you pull up to the pickup window the person there only knows that the next order goes to the next car thus they hand the order to you when really the food is supposed to go to the car behind you.Thisstunt has a tremendous success rate but the only downside is that you never know what is going to be in the bag.

Talking about ways to get  free meals get a white lab coat... Go to the hospital find the doctor's lounge. Act like you are know what you are doing and eat whatever they are offering usually plenty of salds, chickens, pastas and you can still egt your coffee and sodas. Of course if this works we will call you Dr. Legwand.

Costco is probably the dumbest idea in the thread. You save what 20% in that fucking place and buy a whole bunch of bulk shit you don't need?

Please. The man doesn't have a nest full of turkey vultures to feed. He needs low price food and he needs to buy it every few days carefully.

Legwand, go to the hood. I mean the hood grocery store in your area that pays low rent. Prices are rock bottom on decent nutritious food you can live on.

...oh by the way. If you want a great breakfast/ lunch at very low cost you go to the local SUPERIOR courthouse cafeteria.
