Couldn't have said it better myself. I've been to a few places around the world and the US. I've never been to the southern US but i'm certain i could not live there. I'm close to the midwest and i know i could not live there. I've been to Boston and New York and Boston is one of the coolest places people wise i've ever been.
Also been to England, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Australia. By far the coolest (or feels most like home) was Australia. I could definitely live there.

I will always be grateful to the Canadians who saved those Americans from Iran kidnapping during the disastrous Jimmy Carter administration and those who have fought alongside our country in (I think) all wars we have been in. My nephew worked in Canada several years, he got along fine with them. All those Canadians I have met (not that many, 10-20) I have gotten along with fine. And as hard as I am to get along with, that speaks well for them. They have people of different types and personalities just like Americans. A blanket condemnation is not warranted.

Been a while since posting, but this sort of thing brings me out of my slumber.
Look, none of us can write for sure about anything related to beliefs and intelligence. Everything is subjective, even if you want to have 'so called experts' develop polls to suit their purpose. I.Q tests are rigged and it's you vs. them.
It's always been about proving your point as best you can, and always seem more credible than your opponent.
But... speaking from experience, yes America in it's majority is mildly retarded.
Do not blame them!
(There is no need to blame the guinea pig when it is raised in a glass jar) they can only speak of their environment and limited knowledge which does not cross over to the world outside of the glass jar.
The minute you guys start giving to the world, instead of taking from the world, you might one day see the light. (in a metaphorical sense) and no, not religious.
But once you get in the habit of helping others, it in fact helps you.
Try it.

You're always going to get rivalries between neighbouring countries that share a common culture and language like;
USA/Canada
Australia/New Zealand
UK/Ireland
Germany/Austria and so on
The bigger country tends to be more powerful in both economic and diplomatic terms and will always let their smaller neighbour know that.But I think the people tend to be cooler and more relaxed in the smaller of the two countries.
I would always prefer to live in the smaller of the two countries
I lived out in New Zealand for a while and would always choose that country over Australia and I would definitely prefer to live in Canada rather than the US

Ive travelled a lot and its true that ignorance knows no border. I once ran into a crowd of native Atlantonians in Atlanta and they never heard of Montreal. I wondered how this was possible, with the Olympics, with the Montreal Expos coming to town. It means one never has read a sports page or seen a weather map on TV their whole lives.
And then once I had to go from here to Los Angeles and a neighbour asked me if LA was on the outskirts of Montreal...so there you go. I also would agree that Americans are friendlier than Canadians.

I never watched it. Dont get me started on Canadian TV, it has a loser mentality. Canada is the only country thatll give the axe to succesful shows because networks (CBC doesnt count) wont put up the money after the government money runs out. Its cheaper for them to buy the rights to air an american produced show so they do it, and they cash in on the advertizing revenue also, its a sweet deal, I cant blame them I guess but wheres the initiative?
