What fucking world do you live in? Vick isn't to the Eagles what Michael Jordan was to Wennington,Paxson,Kerr and every other stiff that had a career because he made them better....Vick doesn't make anyone around him better
Let the bashing begin. You can take it from here boys. You don't have to like the guy, but it is simply amazing how these losers let their personal issues with the man take precedent before his unmatched athleticism and newly found decision making at the QB position. Grow up and carry yourself like a man not a hysterical little woman.
I'm sure we could find you a role in the sequel to MEAN GIRLS

I think Vick is a great athlete and a very exciting player but he DOESN"T make anyone around him a better player...That is a fact...He may keep plays alive longer than most Qb's but he doesn't make anyone around him better
Did you eat paint chips as a child? I'm not joking at all when I say that.
Keeping plays alive longer makes every skill position player better because they have more opportunities to make plays that they wouldn't have had otherwise.
In addition, his speed and escapability allow Vick to make plays that no other QB in the league would be able to make, hence making every skill position player better.

So Noel Devine is being compared to Barry Sanders?
The Eagles aren't desperate and Vick is a good NFL QB when focused. Problem is he just came into $15 mil this year. I just wonder how focused he will be given his history.

Barry Sanders was drafted in the 1st round and 3rd overall bt Detroit because of what he was and he had an incredible upside and scouts saw it.
__________
Upside? Did you actually watch him play in college. How can you say a person who did this has "upside?" He was already up there. Devine's stats aren't even in the same zip code (I know we're on the same page there).
In 1988, in what has been called the greatest season in college football history, Sanders led the nation by averaging 7.6 yards per carry and over 200 yards per game, including rushing for over 300 yards in four games. He set college football season records with 2,628 yards rushing, 3,248 total yards, 234 points, 39 touchdowns, of which 37 were rushing (also a record), 5 consecutive 200 yard games, scored at least 2 touchdowns in 11 consecutive games, and 9 times he scored at least 3 touchdowns. Sanders also ran for 222 yards and scored 5 touchdowns in his three quarters of action in the Holiday Bowl

I bet you, just like the scouts, thought this guy "was already up there" coming out of college too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rashaan_Salaam
There are dozens of players just like Salaam. It doesn't always translate to the next level. Much easier speaking from hindsight though isn't it, Hutch.

Sorry but you deserve to be ripped when you compare Noel Devine to Barry Sanders. Maybe Devine goes in to become the greatest RB ever......who knows. Maybe monkeys will fly out of my ass today too......who knows.

Problem is the Eagles still need a right tackle, defensive end, safety, middle linebacker, corner, and a legit backup QG
Obviously there is a probability Vick will miss at least a game considering his injury history and playing style, and if you think Mike Kafka can step in and contribute at all, yikes

As for Devine being a gimmick from a "desperate" Andy Reid I wouldn't call signing an undrafted free agent a gimmick move, hell you really have nothing to lose
Also, Jon Kitna > Tony Romo

Not even close to a good comparison. Sanders taken 3rd....Salaam 21st. Salaam rushed for over a 1,000 yards and 10 TD's in his first season. Not exactly terrible. He just never sustained it.
I still remember Sanders at OSU...watched some of his games live. When he was drafted, the word "upside" was never even used. EVER. He was expected to be a star. Cam Newton has upside.
There were reasons why Salaam was drafted 21st (I remember the comments when he was drafted as well).
No one said G. Torretta had upside...he won the Heisman. Were people talking about Peyton Manning as having "upside?" Not so much.
Barry Sanders was described as "special." There were PLENTY of people wondering how well Salaam's skills would translate to the NFL. I'm not making this up. I watched both in college and I watch both get drafted.

You are really arguing the difference between a player being described as "special" and having "incredible upside"? No wonder they fuck with you so hard at Wells Fargo. They probably laugh their asses off as soon as your uptight nerdy ass walks out the door.

Agreed.
Sanders might be the best RB to ever touch a football.

Should be interesting if he gets major playing minutes. I can see some flashes in him similar to KC's Dexter McCluster. Even then, he slowed down later in the season.
Now comparing him or in any way equating him to Barry friggin Sanders is just silly.
