Ignorant Dez Bryant said he had no idea about "tradition" and how everyone as a rookie has to do something such as carrying pads.

Rodney Harrison had to talk to him and make him realize this tradition ahs been around since before he was born.

Dumb rookie tying to make himself look bigger than the team and earning the respect of the vets.

This wouldn't have happened if NFL players did play football with pads like normal people...

Asked my co-worker about it this morning.  He spent a season and a half with the Cowboys back in the late 90's.  He was disgusted about Bryant. 

What made it bad was Bryant went public when said he isn't picking up anyones pads.  Tremendous "No-No"  If a 5th string special teams back up tells Bryant to fetch a cup of coffee, he better fetch a cup.

Considering how the Cowboys organziation is run which is a wild bunch in itself, I'm pretty sure Bryant's regretting his words right about now.

Oh come on.  He was not trying to make himself look bigger than the team.  Did you read what he said?  He is here to play football and to HELP win championships.  How is he saying he is bigger than the team if he is clearly thinking about the team as a whole in saying he wants to help win championships, not win championships himself.  If he really did not know it was tradition he probably looked at it as his competition, Roy Williams, was trying to make him look like his bitch by making him carry his pads and for that I commend Dez for standing up for himself.  Like I said before carrying pads is not a big deal and he probably should have just done it without the fuss but lets be real these players need to grow the fuck up.  I mean Roy Williams said that if Dez did not carry his pads something worse would happen like maybe his credit card gets stolen from his locker or he ends up getting tied to the uprights.  This stuff happens in high school why are 21-30 year old MEN still participating?  And I do not just mean NFL.  Some MLB teams do some stupid hazing stuff too.  I think it is time these professionals act as professionals.

Wade Phillips even said that the rookies do not need to anything they do not want to do.  The rookies sing in front of the team every year and the O-Line give their brethren intentionally awful haircuts but Phillips said these acts are voluntary.  "They do not need to initiate anybody.  They need to come out play football and be part of the team."

In my experience whenever someone makes a point to puff their chest that means they got nothing to puff out but in either event it is irrelevant what you would do since what Dez done was stupid and that is the point of the post.

This stuff is total bullshit, these guys are professionals not punk ass high schoolers. This so called team building as a reason to carry another "mans" pads is total bullshit as well these men workout 10 month a year with each other for the most part so what the fuck are they gonna build as a team when guys carry other guy's pads? Roy Williams bitch ass need to be more focus bout securing his place in the rotation cause I can bet your bottom dollar Dez Bryant is coming to compete and not worry bout who is carrying his pad's after practice. And people wonder why guys like Roy Williams is complete garbage, more concerned with ass grabbing than actually excuting on the field. Fuck him and his gay tradition.

He will end up being taped to his bed with duct tape, blindfolded and pissed on while in that condition.  He should have just gone along with tradition.  He will pay, I wonder if he will go running to the press and make himself a bigger laughingstock.  I'll bet he keeps his mouth shut, that would redeem him with his fellow players.
