Just wrong bets at the wrong time. When I stay disciplined I am actually quite a good gambler. But if you havent stayed disciplined before , why think you can change? It will get worse as numbers pile up  I just am always either staying disciplined and building up a bankroll then just lose it and get stupid and blow it all or putting myself in huge holes from being stupid then being forced to stay disciplined to dig myself out. That is why I never actually have any money from gambling cause I am either losing everything I won or winning back what I have lost.

If you really want OUT, I will tell you how;  Quit gambling, get several part-time jobs, that will keep you busy and bring in money.  A young man like you can easily get by with 6 hours sleep a day.  Soon you will be out of debt.  However, with your habits I do not think you will do that and will keep going.  Sell your body to older women, surely you can do that.  Here is the honest truth, you are headed for disaster and will commit suicide if you don't change your ways.  Think about it. Straighten up and fly right.  Good luck to you.

The selling my body to older women idea doesn't sound too bad. I could do that. I am pretty well hung. I think I could pull that off. How do you get into that business?

Look in the yellow pages or internet under escorts and you should be able to apply.

You have got to be kidding me.  There is no way you would have been done had you won that bet last night.  NONE.  It would have only reinforced you to bet more.

The fact that wagering "stresses the hell" out of you for the most part (normally because you are trying to catch up) says all that you need to know.  You're wagering beyond your means. 

I am a small time player at best.  But I honestly rarely even have interest in watching a game I'm wagering on (I like to keep tabs on the ticker or maybe on CBS), but I honestly don't care about watching the game.  And I don't get stressed if my bet is losing or loses.  I was on Boston the other afternoon when their pen blew it.  I actually turned the game off when Boston was up by 2 going into the ninth.  Why even put yourself through it? 

You're addicted to the stress is the answer.  In the end, you don't care if you win or lose or you would have stopped long before the VT game last night.

The old martingale system    

Best thing to do to get your debt down is have a small bankroll for the rest of the season, say $500 and only bet 5% at a time and whether you are up or down adjust your amount accordingly  

Also try other sports, soccer =      check out this weekends plays in the soccer forum

No offense, but football (also know as soccer) is one of the toughest sports to cap. I've made money on the sport in recent years, but you really have to know the league and the teams. And upsets to happen...

Plus, you have the option of the match ending in a draw. I would never tell a newbie to blindly bet a new sports just because you've made money recently. Let this guy cap his own sports and do it his way.

He doesn't want to quit and is happy trying to pay it off himself. Let him be.

Am I the only here that sees that this guy is playing us all?  I don't believe for a minute he has a gambling problem.

I DO think he has a problem in that he clearly craves attention.

An addicted gambler would never extend a thread like this.  He seems to be almost framing his next post out of a self help book.

I respectfully disagree. I recall legwand having another drama-ridden thread sometime ago, it had to do with his gambling, but also his entire life sucking because he couldn't get a chick, or a job, etc, etc.
