Bodog Issue

Ok, apologies for the confusion and bodog.com apologizes for this whole incident.  I have spoken with bodog.com and here is what happened in this particular situation:

The line wasn’t correctly taken off the board after the Jets scored the touchdown late in the 4th quarter. The touchdown occurred at 9.35pm yet customers could still wager the Jets at +11.5 after it was scored which is obviously a bad line as they were only down by 5 points (Pittsburgh 24 Jets 19). We canceled every wager on the game after 9.35pm including those on Steelers -11.5. The game was not available for betting after this incident.
 
There was simply not enough time to go through and cancel all of the wagers and inform customers as this was at the 2 minute mark. No matter what the final result had been all wagers would have been canceled and we would not have let them stand even if Pittsburgh had somehow miraculously covered.

In week 4 or 5 the Dog left their In Play game lines open for most of the second quarter. Obviously, I kept hitting them as the games progressed. Ultimately, they voided all my bets around 4:30 pm if I remember correctly.I knew what I was doing, so I expected to eventually have them canceled.If a book is going to leave up bad lines all day, I am going to bet them. With regards to the 11.5 line. I was watching the lines all day and playing poker. I am certain they left it up too long after coming back from the last commercial. I believe it was open for most of that 7 minute drive.I was debating whether to hit it myself as the Jets were driving. After they converted on 4-1 at at the Pitt 30, it was still open.Personally, I wasn't convinced the Jets were going to score again so I didn't bother with it.Then Cotchery  scored a few plays later and I tried to get my bet in but it was closed. So, your bet was made before J.C scored, I am sure of that. Even if you made your bet when the jets had the ball 1st and 10 on the Pitt 30, I don't really see where you had any kind of advantage.Especially with the juice and with what happened on the previous Jets drive. Like everyone else in this thread, I want to find just one person who had their Pitt -11.5 voided.

I might be reading this wrong, but it looks like both tickets in question were confirmed at 9:30 pm EST, before the Jets scored at 9:35 pm EST. By my rough calculation, the Jets had the ball around the Pitt 30 at 9:30 pm. Like I stated in my previous post, I am 100% certin the line was off the board once Cotchery scored to make it 24-19. I tried to bet the +11.5 myself  but it was off the board.

^^^^^^^^Nevermind I looked at the time stamp of the ticket in the first post. The ticket is stamped 9:35pm and 9:36pm not 9:30pm as BostonKen said .Looks like the orginal poster tried to bet a line of +11.5 after the Jets scored and is mad it got cancelled. Maybe he should have bet it at 9:30

Who are you again?  Your first post is in response to my post?  Are you sure you're not associated with Bodog?  Your story sounds superficial.

If they take the bet, they should honor it. OBVIOUSLY.

I've never used an online sportsbook, I wager online but go through a local guy. I've tried to pull a fast one on the books before when lines are up longer than they should be. They always catch it and I've known people on the wrong side of it who also got their bets removed. The line in question was Jets +11.5 live betting. Between the time it was posted and the time it was removed, either EVERY BET on either team should be canceled or EVERY BET on either team should stand and it's absolute bullshit if its any other way. If anyone bet the Steelers and lost, you should certainty get a win for your Jets bet.

I have been with Bodog for a while now and never have had a problem. I requested a Western Union payout and it was ready within 20 hours. I don't know maybe it is because I am a V.I.P. member. It sucks that it happened. I don't do live wagering very often but they usually do take the lines off the board once the game starts. I feel your pain but what are you planning on doing right now?

For your information, I posted the stuff only to point out the loop-holes that Bodog can take advantage of its customer.  And, there are many customers with Bodog.  Not only will this bring light to their eyes, but it will give them a precautionary ways of doing business with Bodog. 

For you to even mentioned "I was scamming Bodog" is absurd.  If any scamming had been done, it was the other way around.  Just because you labeled yourself as a "scammer" (stated by you) does not mean there are others out there like you.

With all things said and done, I don't plan to do anything.   

It is obvious that they are a bad book.  Circled lines on games that you can't parlay with, no money lines when available on other books, not enough coverage on all the games out there, charges fee on Credit Card deposit.

What they do have is good customer services, but behind closed doors it's the guy that manage the books and live-betting that are the devils.  The customer services are just the front-runners who are to apologize for the devils' mistakes and whom to take the blame if any mishaps have been done.

they had open lines. i bet germany plus + 1 or + 2 something silly cus it was already in the 89th min. so i bet it like ok should be a winner cus there already winning as is. sure enough germany won and i was all excited and it went into my account. an hour later the bet said cancelled. hope you get your money.

Hey bud,

This is my first incident with live-betting.  As I recalled, there are numerous times where they left the live-betting opened just to get action on both side just so they can benefit from it.  At one time, back in December, when the Chiefs were playing at the Raiders, their live-betting was open for the ML at -800 for the Chiefs (who was leading at the time with 3:02 minutes remaining) and commercial break has ended with the game starting to come into play.  I wagered -800 ML on the Chiefs immediately (3 seconds after the game has already started) and Bodog still takes my action. 

In the end, the Chiefs lost the game by a Field Goal.  I ended up losing $800 on the ML and there weren't any so-called "past-post" or ridiculous repecussion to cancel my bet.  I knew I had about 80/20 chances of winning, but ended up losing.  So, I picked the wrong wager (even the game has already started).  But they didn't cancel my bet!  Nor do I hear anything from them telling me "we apologize because the game has already started, we cannot accept your action".  I took it as a loss because I had taken the wrong team to win.

However, in this case, it is clear that I had the right team that WON the wager.  But, my wager ended up being canceled due to their negligence.  Now do you know why I have to post this "Bodog's SCAM" post?

You see, you're not the only one.  Not only do they apologize and tell us (over the phone) it won't happen AGAIN.  But it does!  Over and over again. 

Who are we to take what they say seriously?  That's a bad way to do business, in general.

You don't say "sorry" to your customer, and try to screw them again.
