Where do I start, I have lost dearly to Bodog and Sportsbook Casinos in a few short days, it gets slow at work, home office mostly, and I get the disease, the compulsive gambler disorder and click on the blackjack for a few plays, then after a few minutes, 750.00 in my account is ZERO. it is horrible pain. i read the Blackjack rigged forums all the time and will not play for some time then it gets in my head. I have two credit cards that are gambling debts mostly to these offshore sites from probably the last 5 years, totalling 13 grand, I have tried and tried to bet only sports which I do have success at, but I get that devil in my head to go play blackjack out of some bordeom thing, when I am not bored and just have a hard time focusing on what matters. I am so sick of onlinge gaming, but I have wanted to payback the credit card debt slowly with sports winnings which goes well for a few months, then I check back into hell and the compulsive disorder again and again cleans me out. My wife is not aware of the 13 grand, down economy and my failure to pay it down quickly, only a matter of time till she gets the statements and I am screwed. I was on the right track and now with zero in the account I have nothing and 13 grand staring me in the eye. They are laughing at me off-shore for years now I am sure. Life would be so great if that credit card was at 5 grand and every off-shore casino was banned or removed from my computer...

bet games but do not play in the casino for any amount of substantial money at all. if you want to play a dollar a hand then go ahead but these casinos will not let you win any real money period. i have played thousands of hands over the years & recorded almost all of them. years ago you could win but now, forget it.

I can feel for you brother. It sounds like you need to get to a GA meeting tonight. I have seen many like you, and it never ends up well unless you get help and help yourself.
Best Wishes.

Thanks fellas for the write-ups, I can say it comes and goes, I have gone weeks without playing computer blackjack, then when losses hit, I compund with more losses, 200 in account, lose it, redeposit 100, lose it, redeposit 100, lose it, you ge the point. Then, I will go away from it completely, and play sports real well, and turn 200 into 1000 and get payouts, etc. The whole thing just plays with your head like nothing else in life. I do know better, and just need to be busier, looking at a new job I have been offered to really change things up. I cannot work form home, too many pitfalls on the Internet. I really hope it is not a gambling problem, I have the ability to pay down the cc, I closed them all, it is just that maddening chase to get them paid off. I will slow down and let the current account balance of 1000 hopefull build with some control and hopefully within 12 months at 500 a month we could get somewhere. Feels good to just say what I am thinking here, thanks for the forum.

Nice write up you guys have up here Lippsman. Was wondering where that kind of disclaimer could be found and enjoyed the read. Was simple and to the point.
As for your "situation" Phantom, easiest way to get back that control is to simply ban yourself from any sites you've been using. Do it for your own good even if it sounds like you won't be able to kill off time on these sites. All sites will automatically ban you if requested so try it out.

If it's just a gambling fix you want there is some great software out that you can use.
In fact I use it a good bit when I am on the road, in the air and such.. It's Hoyle Casino 2009. Great variations on all casino games. Lose money on a video game, you will feel much better when you see what you would actually lost.
When I have a craps fix.......that just didn't sound right did it......This reminds me that the house has an edge on every roll of the dice. (Sans the free odds wager)
Also with blackjack it has a tutor mode that will tell you the count and will help you count cards.
Now I know maybe this isn't something I should show someone that may have a gambling problem. I'm not judging. But it can get you away from those rip off software casinos that are not regulated by anyone.
If you need anything I am here for you. Send me a friends request and you can PM me.

You are one of the classiest on here Lipps...very appreciate your opinion. I am alright, I have action tonite in college hoops and it is controlled and fun, its that unholy casino stuff that once you point and click, it takes over in a sick way. I am done with it, I hope, and have the sites blocking it now. I needed this forum to get it out and help break me of it.

I know exactlly what ur going thru man trust me. I blew thru 3 grand in 20 mins. The dealer pulled a 20 or 21 almost 90% of the time until i lost all my money. I had a $250 on an 11 against a 6, of course like an idiot i doubled down and pulled a 9 for a 20. I thought I was good, until he pulled a 5 card 21! Sportsbook.com and sports.com and all those stupid casino sites are rigged and full of shit! They'll suck u in and you'll go up a few hundred before they take it all back! Ur better off closing ur accounts before this escalates and becomes even worse. Doesnt matter how much ur betting or how much you have in your account, ur likely to lose it all if you keep playing, dont forget ur at there mercy and they know that ur human and like most people you'll chase ur money and won't stop until u gain something back. I personally know people who've lost over $10,000 playing this shit within minutes! Its sickening, but dont feel alone cause theres many others who have the same mentality. Just close ur accounts and try to move on

I've got the same problem, the blackjack is definately rigged, especially don't play any casino games right after a big game cause the online casino site managers know there are players who just lost money on the big game and are ready to clean them out some more.

I feel your pain. I have a similar situation to you but it is not casino . For some strange reason (especially since I am a degenerate gambler) i never really got into online casino gambling or even real life casino gambling for that matter.
I can take it or leave casino gambling pretty easily.
My problem is basketball .......every year , and I mean every year I kill the books in football. If I would have quit gambling at the end of every football season and then not gambled on anything until the next football season I would have a mad amount of money.
However, like an idiot I dont stop. Every year I say to myself....do no bet on basketball , do not bet on basketball. Every year i give in to my addiction and bet on basketball and lose everything I had won in football and then some.
I made a killing this year again in football and like an idiot i gave in and started to bet on basketball . Of course i lost big money as always . However, I quit betting on basketball 2 weeks ago and if i keep it that way i still am up big because although i lost alot in hoops this year i made way more in football.
Anyway, my point being is gamble on what you are good at and do not gamble at what you are not good at. So stop gambling on blackjack period.
Now I realize that is easier said than done because i have told myself that i am going to stop betting on basketball and kept doing it and lost at it anyway.
If you can't stop gambling on blackjack than you really should go to Gamblers Anonymous. I have thought about it myself. For now my plan is to only bet on football and never bet on basketball ever again. It remains to be seen if I can do it........

I was actually considering starting to play online blackjack at a sports book and have a few suggestions/opinions.
I would consider finding out how exactly their blackjack program/system works. First off, how many decks are they using, one, two, four, six or eight. Usually the number of decks determines how great of an advantage the house has. The less decks that are being used the greater the advantage you will have. I would think online casinos work in the same way that real casinos do. The only difference being that instead of the dealer shuffling the card deck(s) the blackjack program is randomly shuffling the card deck(s). If it works any other way I would hesitate going any further.
Also, I would consider playing the "free play" option before I would play for real to see how well I would do.
On a side note, I often play blackjack just for fun with fake money. I usually pretend as though I am in a real situation betting real money. Whenever I bet small amounts of money I always seem to be winning more hands than not, but when I start betting larger sums of money I end up loosing and the dealer ends up getting better hands. In my opinion, I think one of the reasons for this is when you're betting larger amounts of money you start taking less risks, and the house gets the better of you. Whereas, when you're just betting small amounts of money you start taking more risks because the small loss is not a big deal.

ematchup, you have the right idea; however, I found out the hard way too....losing perhaps a couple grand. If you play the free game, you will win most of the time. That's exactly what they want. Their real money games are rigged, there is absolutely no way they are not. I have seen things in BJ online that I have NEVER seen in the casinos...and I have done pretty well playing live. To scratch that itch, just play the fake money version. Otherwise, you will just keep on losing and chasing your tail. GL!

Do not play any online casino ever......I mean ever. They are not regulated and can rip you off on every hand.
Also it makes no difference on how many decks that online casinos use. Because almost all of them shuffle after every hand anyway.
As usual, listen carefully to what Lippsman just stated above.. I watched a 20/20 episode a few months ago that revealed some of these online poker sites were blatantly bilking clients out of thousands of dollars thru their rigged computer algorythms.. If its going on in online poker, than you can bet your ass it is going on with all online casino games... If there is no legitimate regulation, then you will be ripe for the taking....

no need to completely lie. I mean jeez
I know how your feeling bro.
Hands are sweating, heart racing. You keep saying ok. Let me get back to the original amount and ill quit. Then whe you do u say well lets see if I can actaully win a few hands to make a little extra cash. Then a 5 card 21 beats your 20. You pound the desk and double up the next hand. You lose as he shows a K and you have another 16. You hit and break as he pulls over a 6. Getting more pissed you triple up and win. Then you think your all great and shit and think you have this thing beat. Then you lose six in a row.
Ive been there.
