Hardly any banks are going to willingly cash them.  If at all.  I've heard you can deposit them through an ATM and questions won't be asked but i've always been worried that it'll still get stopped.  Just WU it.  They just processed a withdrawal for me a few days ago for $500.  I seem to remember in college the limit was $500 but I'm a smaller player so I didn't need much more.  To me, WU was the safer option...a cancelled check would cost a high fee on 5dimes to get the money put back into my account.

    TB2 -

Dont listen to these moronic responses.

Checks from sportsbooks are from legitimate payment processors.  It is no different than getting a check from any other company.  Your bank will take it no problem.  Its not like your check will be from costa rica or something - it will mostly likely be cut from a major US bank.

The only thing that some people run in to is that their profile at their bank.  Your bank actually keeps track of what kind of customer you are - if you make 500 a week every week that is direct deposit - and spend 500 a week - a 10K check could make them wonder.

But I think 5dimes has a 3k limit on checks - so that should be no problem.  The guy above telling you that WU is somehow safer than a check is funny.  Yes, checks sometimes bounce.  That is the nature of the game.  But the chances are small - and it would be like any other bounced check.

    Vanzack,

Since you seem to know your stuff pretty well, what about withdrawing via Moneygram/Western Union? They say they don't transfers for gaming purposes, just wondering if there are actual legal ramifications if they were to find out. Thanks.

Do you ever respond without attacking someone Vanzack?  I've had friends more than once not able to cash checks with BBnT and 5th/3rd bank.  They're not legit if the bank doesn't trust their sources or restrictions from governemnts don't allow them to handle checks with these sources.  If you disagree, disagree.  Don't be a douchebag if you haven't been in the room for 100% of sportsbook checks being cashed.  Its got nothing to do with a profile.  A 1k check, which is what was refused service, isn't a standout deposit for a pretty standard 40k a year salary.

I respect your info, you've been here since 01 and have like 50k posts.  But they must not be just like actual processors since this forum is repeatedly full of people who say that banks wouldn't cash their checks, and not just of the 10k variety.  Thanks for your help asshole.

Western Union just sent me a $500 check from 5dimes like 4 days ago.  I've heard people on here say that questions were asked about where this money was coming from but the Harris Teeter I use for WU seems hardly concerned with doing anything but getting me out the door so they can continue sitting on their asses.

    Sir -

    Dont take it personally.

When you post bullshit, I call it bullshit.  When you post something brilliant, I will call you brilliant.

So lets talk facts, OK?  Not my friend this and my friend that.  I checked, and 5dimes doesnt do "10K variety checks".  They limit them to 3k.  Fact 1.

The checks are from processors.  I have friends too, and my friends get checks from 5dimes.  These checks are from companies that your bank would have no idea are for gambling BECAUSE THESE PROCESSORS ARE LEGITIMATE PROCESSORS.  If your bank refused your check from this processor, they would also refuse all of the other checks that go to lawyers, doctors, lawn maintenance companies etc.  Maybe your friends are getting checks from books that dont use processors - I dont know - or maybe you dont have any fucking friends because you are a moron.  Fact 2.

These checks are from US BANKS almost all the time.  That means, that you can go to one of these major US BANKS in your town and cash this check for cash right in front of their fucking faces!!  You should see the tellers face when you walk up with a 3k check from a legitmate US based payment processor!!!  It looks like someone who has taken their 100th transaction of the day, and is thinking about their next coffee break and when they can take their next dump.  "Here is your cash sir" - they will even say thank you most of the time!!  Fact 3.

Some checks bounce.  These often come from payment processors who find out there is gambling businesses using them, or payment processors who are unscrupulous - or payment processors who just fuck up.  This is rare, but it does happen.  Fact 4.

Now, take my advice and try to think of something brilliant to post, so I can compliment you.  Because right now, you are stuck in morontown, population you.

I respect your info, you've been here since 01 and have like 50k posts.  But they must not be just like actual processors since this forum is repeatedly full of people who say that banks wouldn't cash their checks, and not just of the 10k variety.  Thanks for your help asshole.

I really dont know.  I have never done one in my life.

I will tell you what I have read here over and over, and what I know about the facts of doing a WU or MG withdrawal......

Fact 5:  THEY ARE EXPENSIVE.  They cost a big percentage of your winnings to do.  Period.  If you are a rec gambler who needs rent money on the spot, then WU might be for you.  But I happen to know that TB2 (the original poster) is not looking to take 500 bucks out at 50 bucks a pop.  Im pretty sure TRAV above is fine with this, because he needs a crack fix or he borrrowed money to deposit and his rent is due.

Fact 6:  THE LIMITS ARE LOW:  I dont think you can do more than 1k.  Maybe you can, but its not much more.

Fact 7:  This is from a lot of posters on covers - YOU CAN GET BANNED FROM WU, and it seems to happen often.  Im pretty sure they have a profile set up for gamblers - and it seems to happen often that people actually lose their withdrawal because books wont help you when you have been banned from WU.

So there you have it.  Everything I know about something I have never done.  An expert like TRAV might have more experience than me, and maybe he wants to tell me where I have gone wrong.  Im sure he will.

If you're only speaking by word of mouth, that you can get banned from western union yes.  You also can have your check refused if you take it to a bank.  By friends I don't mean via word of mouth, I mean college roommates and people I've actually seen refuse to cash checks.

As for the other insults...really don't have anything else to say but fuck you asshole?  I'm a 30 a game bettor, and $500 from my initial $100 to start the season is a pretty decent buildup for me, leaving me with about 600 to play with.  If you're going to be an asshole know it all expert at least know that most sites grant you 1 free removal per month.  Plenty of people on here request WU payouts.  With so many sites having problems delivering checks, why would you request a method that takes several days or even weeks as some have posted, when I could have my money the next day?

Don't take it personal, yet you insult me like 3 times for no reason.  I've never gotten a check from 5-dimes.  I have gotten them from an old book, betphoenix and it took 5 weeks compared to next day with WU.  I don't know if they're processors or not, that I defer to your opinion, I'm just saying from what I've read on this site both have their own share of risk, however there is a steep fee for any problems associated with checks to get the money back into your account.  As recently as a few weeks ago a current roommate wasn't able to cash a check at a BBnT.  When he couldn't accurately deliver an alternative to where the check came from, he just had to leave.  A few days later he was able to deposit it straight to the ATM.  I'm just providing my own experiences.  I'd suggest taking a break from your 50k posts to develop some people skills.  Social stigmas generally don't allow you to say take no offense and then proceed to be something your mother should've just swallowed.  I've seen your other stuff, being a douchebag comes naturally.  I'm sure its much easier when you're hiding behind a computer screen.

You even wrote an article a year ago about how you wouldn't leave money on gambling sites.  So why, with such instability, would I leave so much online?  Every time I clear $800 or so I'm going to keep pulling about $500 out.  Maybe next time since its so full proof I'll request a check.  Hopefully it'll get here on time so I can pay my rent and buy crack...

Let me know if this is further moronic, your opinion is in such high esteem to me.

Ya know what...maybe sarcasm and condescending tones are your thing.  Not worth getting angry over a forum personality's opinion.  To each his own.  I was mistaken in regard to 5dimes check policies.  I'd still prefer to get my money sooner rather than later, but that's a matter of opinion.  Good day man

That's why, besides the handful of people who've said they were banned from WU, it seems to be the concensus that WU would be less hassle.  Not sure why wanting your money the next day, especially when its free, makes you some sort of addict

    Hi guys first post,
Had a pretty dope run on 5dimes recently, not a beautiful drug run, but a successful winning streak, worked $300 up to 2.9K since NFL started, I am well aware variance and a few bad bets is going to crush my roll sooner rather than later thanks to my, we'll call it, aggressive betting style, and have thus decided to cash out now.

What is the best way to go about it? I want a Check but am quite concerned with all the talk about Banks not accepting/holding checks coming from this site. I have sovereign bank if anyone has had problems with them or can recommend a bank that doesn't seem to care where money comes from, that would be great. I also travel ALOT and this means that I am really only at or near my house/bank rarely.I have been told by 5dimes to not let the checks sit at all. Any advice aside from WU every time I am home?

For crying out loud. Banks will accept payout checks from books even if on Canadian banks. The worst case scenario is that they put a several week hold on the funds to insure they clear.

If you bank at a small bank or credit union there is a tiny chance they may not if you have deposited similar checks for similar amounts that have bounced but even then if you have any relationship established with them again they will take the deposit and issue a hold for a specific amount of time.

    THE END!!!

5dimes max check is 3k. Can only get one per week sent. Banks will cash them, as I have cashed a couple at my bank. However, like Van said, it can cause problems down the line. (tax issues)

I no longer cash these checks at my bank through my usual checking account to avoid issues. You get one free check per month. Since you're not paying crazy Western Union fees, you can afford to cash it at a check cashing place and get the money in cash right then in there. It's usually around 2.5% to do so on the type of checks they send.

I personally don't mind paying $75 on 3k to get my money in cash and not have this money flowing through my bank account. I've never been questioned as to why I received the check - they simply go through their own verification process and give me my money. It's probably personal preference, but this is the way I go about it.

Yeah, you got to be careful.  You use Western Union too much one of their representatives will call you asking you questions about all these random people you are sending money to and who are sending money back to you.  They actually banned me from using them back in 2006

I got a payout two weeks ago no problem. But hit Tommey Gainey for the tour win this past weekend for 2850.00. Tried to get about half and it was a little run around. We will see tomorrow. But he desperatly tried to get rid of me. We dont do it, only 9-1. "but you just did it two weeks ago" I talked about covers, cussed, he doesnt like cussing, ready to terminate. I think they get paid extra to get rid of you that night, hoping you bet tomorrow or just let it go.

If I did not need the mula, I would not ask for it. But getting that funny feeling now. 5D's, will post tomorow night. last payout went fine and curtious. This guy was not. Got it copied and pasted to word doc... :)

If I did not need the mula, I would not ask for it. But getting that funny feeling now. 5D's, will post tomorow night. last payout went fine and curtious. This guy was not. Got it copied and pasted to word doc... :)
