this is a funny thread - im a fry fanatic myself - must eat them everyday - my favorite fries period are in amsterdamn - nothing is close to those - i also love poutine - this is a must try dish for any fry lovers - i also like fries with chicken salt as served all over australia - those are unreal
 
guys in new york - go to moaz veg at time square - they have amsterdamn fries - there is also one in phil and florida - i think there are about 10 in america - if you like fries - they are the best in your country

Don't you think the fast food "restaurant" that takes the french fry to the next level (say a tasty, thick,  steak fry), could lock down the industry?

I had an old HS teacher once tell me she found out from a fast food industry insider that MCDonalds pre soaked all their fries in sugar water before cooking and salting them, giving them a subconscious addictive quality to them.
Dont know if its true or if she made that up to justify the fact that she is about 5'3 250lbs. LOL

Also French fries, are called french, because of the way they are cut... not because of their origin.  You all need to watch the food network
