I think it goes off of total goals scored overall and the difference decides a tie. SO right now Ghana has 3 goals US has 4. IF it comes to a tie Ghana has to have more total goals than the US.
SO the US could still lose to Germany but the number of total goals each team scores is the deciding factor.

The only other potential time that Germany or the US would meet any team in their divison in a knockout stage would be in the final due to how the bracket is setup. A1vsB2 on one side and A2vsB1 on the other side.

MEXICO for me, they will counter attack Croatia to death like the DUTCH today vs Chile
Brazil ML for me to be safe - 800, they will win but if MEXICO lose or tie to Croatia, then Brazil will save their legs and win 1-0 or 2-0 to rest, anyone bet on Brazil more than 2 goals will be suffered by this setup, so scared
