Fantasy league discussion part #2

I think I just made the biggest margin ever when it comes to dropping someone at such a low rank to get someone who isn't even on anyone's radar.

hmmmm well i completely disagree....noone wants beckam, he is not going good right now and only did it for a half a season, like anyone if he gets hot yes someone will pick him up, but no one is going to trade for him

   ya gotta remember, who cares if you drop him if you never play the guy....he has no value to you ya know

also, beckam is not exactly ranked in the top 50 preseason lol

and Eric Young is on anybody who pays attention to baseball prospects radar, if you are serious about fantasy then i would hope most people know about him....
   but here is the thing with him....look at his minor league numbers, yeah he can steal bases but stealing bases does you no good when you can get on base. The guy has never hit for a good average so now in the majors he is going to?  not worth a spot IMO  but we'll see

its like heyward, people all over his nuts and he is a great prospect and should be a very good player but so far he has been very average
  young pitchers can excel, young hitters that excel are more rare IMO

look at that person Mark Crapxiera....took him some time to get "good" too

Well EY should be getting his chances as they could put him left field or at 2nd base. And they plan to from what I've heard. I just don't know how long he'll stay up. He's only up because Hawpe went on the DL and I'm not sure if he'll be sent back down when he is activated.

And I know the whole "you can't steal 1st base" thing with Gardner in past years. But...I really throw minor league numbers out when a guy gets called up because of his "ability". I mean...Cervelli was a .200 hitter in the minors, they called him up for this defense, and he hit around .300 last season in his limited chances and now hitting over .420 in the chances he gets.

And same with Chris Tillman. Wasn't it you who asked me why I picked him up and asked me if I saw his minor league numbers over his first 2 starts? Well he pitched a no hitter last night in the minors. I only dropped him because apparently he isn't back up yet as they had a day off and skipping a guy's start before they brought up Tillman. He may still be on my radar when he comes up.

Now the best part about Heyward is I basically got all the power numbers from him. I got all by 1 home run and 2 RBIs. He's in a serious funk right now. So I traded him at the right time. I forgot who for though.

And HEY...Tex will be ready to go on Sunday. It's the start of May.

Make it 2 HR and 3 RBIs for Howard since I got rid of him.

I don't know man.  What up with Molina?  Who is he?

URISS2302 Mauer is pretty valuable at the catcher position.  It would take a lot to acquire this guy.

I get what your saying, but perfect example in heyward....what he is doing is nice and great as a rookie but there are a ton of outfielders better for FANTASY purposes, ya know what I mean

Alright...explain your reasoning for this trade? I know you wanted to get rid of Rios...but getting rid of Kinsler for Sizemore and Liriano? Rios alone should catch you Sizemore's ability. He hasn't been the same in a while.

Because I know he'll get me some good starts. So I might as well keep him until I need an open spot from an guy coming off the DL.

Rios is garbage and is extremely overrated and in no way compares to a healthy Grady Sizemore in Runs scored HR's or RBI's.  Sizemore only playd 100 games last year, and he's off to a bad start this year, big deal its a long season.  However he will probably steal somewhere in the same amount of bases that's about it.  I basically gave up Kinsler for Sizemore and Liriano. Because i have outfielders on my team who are way better than Rios.  Now my Top 5 starters are Halladay, Santana, Liriano, Oswalt, Peavy (bad start but he'l be fine.  Basically I'm just trying to better my team

The team with the most consistent Pitching will win Fantasy Leagues most of the time

Uriss no way can i trade you A-rod who is my best player when you give me a list of 7 guys on your team who are untouchable. Its really not fair to me. I am not interested in trading my best guy for 2 hitters who wouldent even get into my lineup. I do like Oswalt but i cant give up Panda for him
