Fantasy league discussion part #2

I'm still open to any trade discussion. But I do really like my team right now.

i'm agonizing over this trade that i'm pretty sure i'm going to accept....

but I still have Cain that i want to move, but not just for anyone...

i'm hoping to move Cain and maybe either a Reliver or OF to upgrade a position like OF

big one there....

Tulo for Zobrist and Cruz

was tough for me to pull the trigger there but I have a lot of OF's doing well right now and I hate having good guys on the bench and having to decide with them like that....

   me and 2169 went back and for with like 20 trades lol

Powerade has now joined the " Can not make fun of people on trades " list. I really dont get these trades.

Yea...probably not as bad as my multiple trades...but wow...that one doesn't make sense to me at all.

Cruz and Zobrist will probably have better seasons than Tulo.

my thinking is this....Tulo and Cruz are going to pretty much do the same thing while Tulo will hit around .300, cruz will drop to 260 - 270 or so but will hit more homers.

    I really and set on Zobrist being a fluke last season, my fault for drafting him so high and thinking he would repeat, oh well....

I have a solid core of OF's that will play and do what Zobrist "should" be doing so it works out

I just think you could have waited, and given up Cruz when he came off the DL on the 12th I believe. Could have been a 1 for 1. Unless your really looking at someone on the market.

 

But have you come to a trade offer for me?

I just dont get it. People were BEGGING for Cruz when he was healthy ready to deal anything. Now he hits the DL and about to come off he is dealt with another player for TULO who lets be honest was great last year but has shown he can NOT put together good back to back seasons. Someone would have given a really good player just for Cruz when he gets healthy no less with Zobrist. Cruz was the best player in fantasy for the first 3 weeks if i remember right. However its just my opinion and i dont know how anyones team works. Like i say if 2 guys agree on a trade it will be accepted. But im pretty sure a healthy Cruz and Zobrist will out produce by MILES over a healthy Tulo and David Freese

Anyone want any of my SP besides Halladay and Gallardo for a stick? Brett Gardner has been a beast as well but is always on my bench unless i need steals because i have so many. Ill deal him and a SP if anyone wants.

How hard is it to have Gardner? 3 people have had him so far and dropped him. Even me. It's just, because of his past, you don't expect him to be good, so you don't put him in. But if you put him in for an entire week, you'll probably get about 4-5 runs scored, maybe 4 RBIs and 4 stolen bases. Give or take a few here and there.

I guess we can work out a deal if you want to trade him to me with something else. Maybe work something out. But I have so many outfielders I don't know what to do.

I know everyone has had him and dropped him and everyone who has is kicking themselves in the ass. I would use him every day if i had to but since i have had him the guys who i have went up against have been weak in the SB and Runs categories so i stick a power bat in there. Lets be honest. Its shocking but he is the 12th best fantasy hitter this year. Will it last? I really dont know. But im not going to trade him for nothing. Him and say Nolasco would help a team greatly. Utley for Johnson, Gardner and a pitcher? I like Manny. Like your closers. Cant take Pena as he is a ANCHOR to your BA and over the 1st 4 weeks of the fantasy year my team is 4-0 in the category. Ill be here all day if you want to talk some trades. Just going to sit back and watch my Mets +170 cash

I see you're trying to drop Kelly. He hasn't had a homer since the series in Wrigley.

 

I'll look at trade possibilities but I can't drop Utley unless Miggy Cab is involved. I mean...I gave up Mr. Untouchable (Carl Crawford AND Price) for him.

 

But in regards to Post #246...how do we determine?

It all depends on someone's needs. I mean...powerade made that 2-1 that made no sense to us...but it did to him.

You can't compare Garcia and Jenks. Whether you want wins or saves...that's the differential.

Miggy Cab and Utley. Both will get their share of HRs and RBIs. Utley will score more with better support behind him while Miggy Cab will probably hit more HR's and RBIs.

Sandoval will get you average, HRs and RBIs. And if I was forming a team...I'd take Sandoval over Manny. But Manny will probably get you many more HRs and RBIs than Sandoval will but have a weaker batting average.

And I personally don't see Gardner keeping this pace up(although I would love for him to) and can you really expect Borbon to hit under .200 all season? I think they'll even out sooner or later. Once Borbon heats up, Washington already said he'd be moved to the leadoff spot and they really don't want Andrus there.

I have Andrus and i promise you Baron will not hit leadoff again this season. Andrus is hitting .279/.395/.324 with 10 steals and 16 runs scored in the 18 games he's started in the leadoff spot.

You would want Cabrera, Lind and Chacin for Manny, Morales and Jenks?

I dont want closers anymore either haha. To tell you the truth i wouldent trade Chacin for Papelbon. Thats how nasty this kid is. I watched his 1st start and had him on my radar after hearing about him on espn's fantasy podcast. I HAMMERED the rockies last night and could have went to sleep after the 1st inning

I really like Morales now that im looking at it. I see you have Pena riding your bench who coud fill in. What do i have to do to grab Morales?

Pena's riding my utility and even my bench at times. Not happy with him at all as he has been pathetic. He can't just "fill in" at 1st. Not yet anyway.

And yea...I didn't know what I was thinking on that trade. I realized Morales--Miggy wasn't close to begin with and then I asked for more. I just remember having Miggy in all the trades before and am now hell bent on asking for him.

Morales may be my best HR/RBI guy at seasons end. Yes...even better than Utley. So, with me having him on such a high pedestal, and the only guy I see on your team that would equal his production would be Miggy Cab.

And the only reason I asked for Chacin is because I thought Jamie Garcia was "untouchable".
