That's what I thought. How can we continue to keep a bunch of new guys every year?

And that would have to include draft picks. But I need clarification from ManRam about the keepers for next year because now I'm all confused.

And how close was I?

Yea...for Year 1. How much sense does it make to keep 6 guys every year?

You do not need to sign 4 new players every year. You get the 4 contracts. You keep signing players every single year you will have no way to draft the great players who are kept thats contracts run out. Trying to figure out why you guys thought we only had 4 contracts for the next 4 years. Please explain.

i thought that was for last year only ManRam.   each yr we get 4 contracts plus  the franchise and Prospect.

i figured we assign 4 contracts this yr and then after 2012's season guys start coming off 2yr contracts and re-enter the draft that can be drafted..

CM Punk won...he's celebrating in the ring, and out of NOWHERE, Kevin Nash comes in and powerbombs him. He hasn't been at an event since the Royal Rumble back in Jan/Feb. But that was a cameo appearance. Now this means he has a place in the storyline.

And then Alberto Del Rio won the title from Punk after he was laid out. Awesome finish.

I can give you someone else...but you just said you wanted a shortstop. For the record...he's hitting over .300 since coming off the DL and he's stealing bases as well.

Ackley doesn't do anything for me since my keeper is Lawrie. No interest in trading Cruz for Holliday. As I said before, I was looking to trade for keepers without giving up keepers. Some people are for it...others aren't. I was just testing the waters. I'll get you Kipnis, though. We'll work something out.

The thing with the 4 new keepers a year would change everything.

I mean...if the chips fall where they may...powerade could draft Granderson, Ellsbury, Youkilis and Verlander and be able to keep them all. Hypothetically speaking...those guys could land in his hand because he has all those #1 picks. And if I knew that picks were THAT important...I would have been more careful.

Just giving my take on the matter. Whatever comes of it comes of it, though. I can overcome any obstacle (except the whole, making the playoffs, one).
