yea,  its just for fun but WillBetAnything keeps records and has a TopCappers list and a Fade List but guys dont make the fade list until they hit negative $1000 or more..  i seem to always lose when i post a play on there, the other day i hit 5 outta 6 of my real money wagers and the only game i lost happened to be the one i picked for his thread.. 

i scroll the thread and whatever play is the most popular i usually bet the opposite cause there's nothing worse then 25+ degenerates liking the same team... today i saw a ton of Brewers plays but couldnt pull the trigger with the Yanks and Garcia.. im kickin' myself now for not trusting in my lil' system.. im gonna start keepin a record in here and we'll see in a month what it is just fotr the hell of it..

My week is flukey. A makeup game with the wind blowing out 100mph got me 4 homers in Monday. I'll take it though. But it just goes to show you...any week can be a crapshoot.

what is the rookie/prospect rule?

my question is more what qualifies, D. Brown played 35 games last year, does he?

POWERADE: manram said any rookie qualifies this year, brown is good. in the rules it said players must meet certain ROY requirements but manram already told uriss hecann keep Harper so now its any rookie or prospect we want even if they don't get an AB this year, EX: trout, harper...

*everything is 1u, posting it in here to see what the record is after 30 days..   so far my system is 9-2 L11 games, didnt track it before that..   there's 3 guys that are auto-fade's and then i look at like 5-10 more to see who they like..

Amazing what these guys are capable of when playing for a contract. Jose Reyes is out of this world. Some thing different year from a different player. Oritz the same thing. The list goes on and on...

I said that about Harper and Harper only. Pretty sure i made that clear and said it applied to him only because i said that to him. That was after it was brought up by you and sparky.

i know u said it applied to Harper but then u said you'll let anyone keep any rookie. if it only applies to Harper and Harper only then the rest of us have to go by the rule right ?  if yes then Trout is no good for PSM if he doest bat this year ?  i could of sworn u said any Rookie or Prospect you'll accept.. doesnt really apply to me cause im prob keeping Ackley or grab a rookie that meets the ROY requirements..   

 

PSM and URISS went about it the same way. They both figured "prospect" meant any rookies/minor leaguer. But the rules stated otherwise.

URISS was told by ManRam, before he gave in his contracts, that he could give him his prospect contract.

Not sure where PSM stands with this and Trout.

The difference with Trout is that he's not even eligible for the Franchise Tag.

No no i remember now. I said we are changing the rule to include minor leaguers. Also at the end of the conversation left the door open to minor league rosters for us.

if it includes minor leaguers then thats the same as letting any prospect or rookie be given the Prospect Contract, most of the minor league guys are NOT eligable for the ROY award..  

i could of sworn u told PSM he was fine with TROUT...  so does our Prospect Contract have to be given to a guy who IS eligable for the rookie of the year award ?

Like i said no point in arguing. If i did mess up to some its my fault no one elses. Any rookie will be allowed the same treatment as uriss with harper.

You're allowed to give him the contract. ManRam told URISS that he could keep Harper before the season started as his rookie, even if he wasn't called up. So this year we're going by that rule.

It's going to be an eventful offseason as we'll clarify the rules and make sure everyone is on the same page.

I dont remember offf the top of my head the exact words. It was like a month ago. If thats what i said fine. I thought i remembered it like i said.

I would think if they areavailable in the Yahoo System you can keep a minor leaguer?

I guess my question is more about what qualifies you for the ROY. I can look it up.
I'm hoping Brown doesn't qualify because I don't want him.
