Lets say you take the next best SS to Tulo which would be Reyes.

I would rather Tulo, Kershaw (the clear better hitter)

    to

Reyes, Kershaw, Verlander (the 2nd hitter with extra pitcher)

Its not that we are talking Bautista its just how i like my squads.

He may put up insane numbers...but Tulo puts up the best numbers for his position and it's not even close. And A-Rod puts up pretty damn serviceable 3rd base number.

The aforementioned game that you speak of has been stepped up.

OK you keep drafting your "value" at positions and finishing last and i will keep drafting BEASTS in deep positions and finishing at the top. O and BOWTISTA will put up the best numbers at his position as well.

Reasoning gets responded with a low blow.

Not when you look at pitching the way you do. Different theories for different people. But you are correct. I'm always last and you're always first.

However...this type of league fits me perfectly. The only downside is probably taking a loss this year while the tires keep spinning since I'm a bad drafter. And have dealt with a ton of unfortunate injuries.

So your saying you would rather draft a lesser player because he plays at a more shallow position? I just dont agree with that thats all. How that working for all the Morons who took Hanley over Pujols ( no offense )? Point Proven.

Of course not. Look at my first 3 picks in the draft (albeit Cruz was an accident). But Tulo is a stud. Maybe not as good as Bautista...but a stud regardless. And when I can have a guy like A-Rod at 3rd, Tulo at short, and very good outfielders...I'll take that option.

Well it's not that I'm not trying to win. Nelson Cruz and Josh Hamilton just aren't helping me at the moment. As I've been saying...my team looks a lot better (on paper) when everyone comes off the DL. But until then...I have to wait.

However...you always have to have next season in the back of your mind. But at this point...it's in the front of my mind while I grind. And because this is a keeper league, I go about my business and work on my team according to where I stand in the rankings. I'm not going to make drastic moves to win this year when it's not in the cards. Next year is a different story and hopefully I'll be in the playoffs this year while setting myself up nicely for next.

Take that as an incredible analogy and give me a trophy for it. I think I hit that one right on the nose.

Looking to trade Gordon or McGehee...any takers? Closers are available too if starting pitchers are involved.

Not the best compensation but, although they owe us, they can't go bankrupt in the process by giving TOO much.

no-body and i mean no-body could of predicted the start Hanley's having.  and no-one thought Bautista would have another year like last or someone would of taken him in the top few picks instead of in Rd 3 dont ya think ??   and your the one who drafted Crawford 6th right ??   how'd that work out for ya'?? you could of grabbed Votto/Cabrera or Braun instead..     you see, its a crap shoot cause any player can emege out of nothing and stars can have brutal starts, we draft on past results and future expectations and we sit back while it unfolds and its all out of our control...

Dirk...48 points and 24-24 from the line.

Durant...40 points and 18-19 from the line.

In a time where shooting free throws has become a lost art...very nice to see people still know how to shoot them.

Very fair trade offer Steal.  Let me think about it the rest of the day and I will get back to you before the end of the day.  Pineda might be the only sticking point given his value as a rookie.  However, I could not have expected a fairer offer than you made.  I will holla back shortly.
